President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in London for a high-level working visit aimed at strengthening Ghana–UK economic relations, attracting investment, and engaging with the Ghanaian diaspora.

The visit will feature key engagements, including a royal audience with King Charles III, a meeting with UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, the Ghana-UK Investment Summit, and interactions with global investors and business leaders.

President Mahama will also address distinguished audiences at Chatham House and the Africa Debate in London, while showcasing Ghana’s growing presence in global financial markets through engagements at the London Stock Exchange.

This visit underscores Ghana’s commitment to deepening international partnerships, promoting investment opportunities, and advancing economic transformation for sustainable growth.

President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, has already arrived in London for a high-level working visit aimed at strengthening economic ties between Ghana and the United Kingdom, while deepening engagement with the Ghanaian diaspora.

The President was received at the airport by Lord Katz MBE from the Royal Household, H.E. Gordon Wetherell, Special Representative of the Secretary of State for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), and Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, H.E. Mrs. Sabah Zita Benson.

President Mahama will meet with His Majesty King Charles III, the British Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, and have a Diaspora Town Hall Meeting hosted by the Ghana High Commission in London and officially open the Ghana - UK Investment Summit.

The Japanese Government and the Bank of Japan (BoJ) intervened in the foreign exchange market by buying yen and selling dollars earlier on Thursday after consecutive warnings from FinMin and Currency Diplomat in very quick succession.

This briefly pushed yen to 155 from 160, but currently hovering around the 156.50 pivot. One pro-Iran war post from President Trump could send everything all back up to near or above 160.20.
