Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of sustainable economic growth, job creation, and innovation across the world. Despite their importance, many early-stage businesses face significant challenges and often struggle to survive beyond their first few years of operation.
Recognizing this need, Activa International Insurance Ghana partnered with the Adenta Cooperative of Fashion Designers and Dressmakers to deliver capacity-building training aimed at promoting business sustainability and growth. The training focused on key areas such as risk management, financial management, business development, and the importance of insurance as a tool for long-term success.
Through this partnership, Activa Ghana has successfully trained more than forty master trainers and provided fourteen newly graduated fashion designers with financial support and business protection insurance cover as part of a comprehensive startup package designed to help them confidently begin their entrepreneurial journey.
This initiative is aligned with Activa Ghana’s commitment to supporting women and small and medium-sized enterprises to grow and thrive. In 2019, Activa Ghana launched the Activ’Lady Program, a specialized insurance initiative tailored for women in Ghana, particularly female entrepreneurs at all stages of their business journey. The program seeks to empower women by providing relevant insurance solutions, financial protection, and support that enable them to build resilient and successful businesses.
