Sefwiman Rural Bank, Atwima Kwanwoma Rural Bank & Sonzele Rural Bank have been selected for support under DBG's Environmental & Social Management System (ESMS) Technical Assistance Project!

Earlier this month, our ESG Team together with 2 ESG Consultants spent 4 days at Sonzele Rural Bank's Head Office in Jirapa, Upper West Region, working on:

🔹 Assessing E&S risk management capacity
🔹 Rolling out a tailored ESMS framework
🔹 Building staff skills on E&S risk screening for loan appraisals
🔹 Strengthening due diligence across lending

Last weekend, DBG joined GhanaThink Foundation at Barcamp Tema, connecting with young entrepreneurs and changemakers driving Ghana's next wave of businesses.

Ghana's oil palm industry is being reset — and DBG is part of the financing story.

Yesterday, our Chief Economist, Prof. Eric Osei-Assibey, represented DBG at the Tree Crops Development Authority's national multistakeholder roundtable.

The agenda covered the full picture: land access and tenure security, seed and seedling production systems, and the institutional partnerships needed to turn policy into practice.

DBG presented on what it takes to finance the oil palm value chain. Patient, long-tenor capital. Concessional rates aligned to the crop's seven-year growth cycle. Financing that works for the agriculture, not against it.
