Horti-Connect: A New Chapter for the Dutch-Ghanaian Horticulture Collaboration

Last week, we facilitated a session where key stakeholders in Ghana's horticulture sector gathered at the Vegetable Hub of Excellence, University of Ghana School Farm, Legon, for sector learning, support and the official launch of the Horti-Connect network.

Network partners focused on providing guidance to one of Orange Corners' members, Defarmacist Group Ltd. They discussed the network's purpose and learning agenda, emphasizing stronger follow-ups on agreed actions.

A highlight of the day was a tour of Defarmercist’s Vegetable Hub of Excellence, offering participants practical insights into nursery and greenhouse production, irrigation, and farm infrastructure. Ideas and recommendations on business partnerships, funding, certification, digital tools, and regulatory compliance were shared, offering the company practical support drawn from expertise within the network.

The launch of Horti-Connect marks a new chapter of learning, collaboration, and hands-on engagement within Ghana's horticulture sector.
