We are looking for a Special Education Teacher to join our team of educators.

You will be responsible for teaching a student with mild or moderate delayed speech.

You will modify existing curriculum on basic subjects (e.g. numeracy, language and literacy development, and early logic and problem solving techniques) to meet the student’s learning requirements and build individual lesson plans tailored to their specific needs.

You will also discuss with parents and support staff about important matters that might impede students’ progress.

Ultimately, you will help and inspire children to achieve important learning milestones.

Assess student’s abilities and craft teaching plans

Adapt learning materials to students’ needs

Keep track of and reflect on students’ progress

Monitor the child’s behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed
Find engaging activities to teach skills (e.g. drawing)

Manage classroom crises and resolve conflict

Prepare student for transition to the next grade

Inform parents about their children’s performance and potential problems

Coach/mentor and work with other educators on our team who work with children with disabilities

Collaborate with the support staff (e.g. school counselors and speech therapists) to create holistic intervention plans.

Do you know that games of skill stimulate memory and the thinking that is critical to a child’s creativity?

At Mensch, we teach your child to embed social rules for living like cooperating, taking turns, being polite, solving problems, accepting outcomes, and being flexible to situations.
We do this through games of skill such as Chess and Oware.

Competition is good in life, insofar as it aligns with clear rules of the game, strategy, and fair play. We make your child learn this through our games.

Why wouldn't you choose a for your child today? Call us.

Does your child always find your explanations for things sloppy and not enough? Do you have a child who spends hours playing with a particular light-switch in the house? Is your child the kind that requests great clarity about things? Does your child like fidgeting with things? You are likely to have one of a few children who form a tiny fraction of people in the world; they later in their lives become inventors, scientists, engineers, and major business leaders in the world. They are called visual-spatial learners. Do you know a child’s spatial ability improves their know-how?
Visual-spatial reasoning is a child’s ability to analyze and assess visual information, details and easily recognize relations between things.
At Mensch, we train these oft-neglected children in a way that magnifies these abilities they have. Consult with us and find out about our customized training for visual-spatial learners using the following methods:
Math Mindbenders, Logic Problems, Puzzles, Egyptian Fractions, Pentominoes, Tangrams, Base Ten Blocks, Brain Teasers, Counterfactual Thinking, Palindromes, Lateral Thinking Problems, et cetera.
