RED WEATHER WARNING

With Storm Austen approaching, a red wind warning has been issued for the Channel Islands, with severe winds expected overnight and into Friday 23 October, with the strongest winds are forecast between 6am and 11am tomorrow.

Now is the time to take action:

- Secure outdoor furniture and loose items
- Check sheds and outbuildings are secure
- Avoid parking cars near and trees and exposed areas
- Follow government advice

If your property suffers storm damage, your safety should always come first. Where necessary and safe to do so, contact a suitable contractor to make the property secure and prevent further damage.

Berthelot Street was home to SPF Private Clients from the very beginning in 1997.

But what we'll remember most are the people we've met and the relationships we've built along the way.

For Pierre and Jez, who between them spent 54 years working from our former office, closing those doors marked the end of a very special chapter.

Our new office brings us together under one roof with our colleagues at our sister company Howden Channel Islands Insurance Brokers, marking an exciting new chapter for both businesses.

CASE STUDY OF THE WEEK

Gary O’Neill of SPF Private Clients has recently completed a £3.5m refinance for a new-to-SPF, new-to-bank client seeking to refinance a UK care home on a standalone basis, separating it from a wider portfolio of assets.

The incumbent bank was unwilling to restructure the existing security package, leading the client to approach SPF Private Clients to explore alternative options.

By engaging with specialist care home lenders, SPF Private Clients was able to negotiate and ultimately facilitate a solution that:
• Released all other assets from the security package;
• Improved both the repayment and commitment terms; and
• Significantly reduced pricing.

A strong showing from SPF Private Clients UK and SPF Private Clients CI teams at yesterday’s padel tournament in Canary Wharf 🎾

Hosted by Butterfield Bank at Padium Canary Wharf, there was plenty of competitive spirit on court from Pierre Blampied, Mike Boles, Sarah Kelly, Grant Lawson and Andy Nolder - with Pierre and Mike making it all the way to the final before narrowly missing out, 15–7.

And a special mention to chief supporter Laura Henery, cheering the team on from the sidelines!

A great afternoon of padel, competition and catching up with some familiar faces.
Huge thanks to Butterfield Bank for hosting and Padium for a fantastic venue.
