Property prices climb £3,000 over the past year as Wrexham falls behind Wales as a whole.

Property prices in Wrexham rose by just 1.5% over the past year, adding £3,000 to the typical home, according to our July 2026 House Price Index.

The area is well ahead of the UK average where prices have risen by 0.9% since July 2025.

The typical Wrexham home is now worth £199,300, well below the UK average house price of £272,800.

A fixed-rate mortgage is where your interest rate and payments are fixed for a period of time, typically 2 years, 3 years or 5 years. This provides stability and you know what you are paying for a set amount of time.

✅ You can't borrow what you need, so a larger deposit may be needed to get the property you want

If you have a good credit score, whether you are a first time buyer or not, buying a property with a 5% deposit could be possible.
