How is a Cash ISA tax-free?
Any interest you earn on money held in a Cash ISA is completely tax-free. This means that if your ISA earns £100 in interest, you keep the full £100.
With a regular savings account, you may have to pay tax on some of the interest you earn, depending on your personal circumstances and the amount of interest received.
Your Cash ISA will not close at the end of the tax year. Any money held in your ISA will continue to benefit from its tax-free status for as long as it remains in the account.
A Cash ISA can help protect your savings from tax both now and in the future, regardless of how much your savings grow. This is one of the reasons why ISAs remain such a popular savings option.
