A huge shout out to our in-house Claims Team who spent yesterday morning volunteering at the Cynthia Spencer Hospice retail unit located on Moulton Park 💛

Our ladies were thrilled to escape their desks for a few hours to dedicate their time, energy and funds in supporting this very worthy charity and this time round, they were tasked with sizing, hanging and organising multiple bags full of women's clothing.

Amongst a lot of laughs and their impressive teamwork, they managed to make their way through 15+ bags of clothing (!) and filled more than 5 rails ready for the items to be priced and placed in the shop for purchasing.

The unit itself offers a huge variety of items including clothes, shoes and accessories, furniture, homeware, books, CD’s, DVD’S, toys, games, electrical items, Vinyl records and more – we even left with a few purchases ourselves! 🛍

As always, we received the warmest welcome from the Cynthia Spencer Hospice team upon arrival, all of whom were hugely grateful for the work we managed to accomplish within our 2 hour time slot!

The Cynthia Spencer Hospice is a charity close to the hearts of many of our BQI Insurance and BQI Protection employees, and we can’t wait to enjoy many more volunteering and charity events in the near future.

Brilliant afternoon for the NIG/BQI business strategy meeting, capped off by a trip to the viewing platform on the 58th floor of 22 Bishopsgate — the second tallest building in the UK after The Shard.

NIG moved to this stunning location a few months back and we're already looking forward to our next visit!

Our staff have enjoyed a number of social events over the last few weeks, the most recent being a competitive paintballing session on Friday afternoon!

Pete's BQI Dream Team celebrated their 2-1 victory against Malcolm's BQI Protection Misfits, coming from 1-0 down to take the last 2 games.

Despite a few sore limbs and many, many bruises over the weekend, the guys had a brilliant afternoon and they’re already fired up for the next head to head...!

Our Senior Claims Executive Michaela Cooke recently received this fantastic feedback following the settlement of her customers theft claim.

Thanks to her proactive claims handling and prompt assistance from our client, a settlement offer was made within 7 working days of the claim being notified. However, Michaela continued to pursue insurers for an increased offer following receipt of additional documents from her client.

After persistent chasing and determination to secure a positive outcome within a timely manner, Michaela delivered and was over the moon to receive this email after the increased offer was accepted.

BQI Insurance understand how important it is for our clients to get back to business following the unfortunate event that leads to a claim, and we're incredibly proud to have an in-house Claims Team who work tirelessly on a day to day basis to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients with as minimal disruption to their business as possible.

Our Senior Account Handler Georgia Lockhart is kickstarting our Employee Spotlight of the Month this year, and is also celebrating 7 years with BQI! ✨ Georgia started her career with BQI Insurance as a Client Services Administrator back in 2017, and after quickly developing in her role became a Client Services Executive in 2019 where she continued to flourish. Georgia has since been promoted to Senior Account Handler within our Client Services Team and looks after some of our most Corporate customers with nothing but true professionalism. Georgia is a breath of fresh air in the office, is always on hand to assist her peers and has even been known to dabble in the odd IT query too! ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll be responsible for developing a detailed understanding of your clients’ businesses and the risks they face. You’ll proactively contact your client prior to renewal, review their insurance programmes to identify any gaps in cover and, should any be highlighted, suggest appropriate means to mitigate these. You’ll be responsible for the full renewal cycle and will have access to a range of mainstream composite insurers, specialist carriers and MGA’s. You will use your superb negotiation sills to secure your clients the most comprehensive levels of cover at competitive premiums.
You will complete the process by also being involved in the full processing and administration of the policy inception including invoicing, payment chasers, finalising docs and posting to accounts.

ABOUT YOU

Whilst we are ideally looking to speak to Account Executives with 1-2 years’ experience within the insurance sector, we do welcome applications from Commercial Account Handlers who are ready to make that next step in their career.

It is essential you have a sound understanding of all common commercial covers such as Property, Liability, Contractors Combined and Package business. You must also be personable with excellent communication skills and the ability to get on with people from all walks of life.
In addition you’ll be:

· proactive and enthusiastic
· results oriented
· passionate about personal growth
· great on the phone and computer

Progress made towards professional qualifications under the CII would certainly add value to your application, but not essential.
