Happy Monday!

After weeks of strategic planning in her new role as Head of Sales, and onboarding new team members, Nina is back on the road meeting with brokers again.

On Friday, she had a great visit with Loanable.co.uk team, where she was introduced to their 2nd Charge Buy-to-Let team, with a strong focus on the growing opportunities within the 2nd charge BTL market.

We’re really excited to welcome Ahmad Mohammed Ali to the Mercantile Trust team as our new Internal Business Development Manager, joining our amazing sales team alongside Nina Kainth and Vicky O'Sullivan.

Ahmad joins us with a strong background in mortgage advice and plenty of hands-on experience working with clients across everything from first-time buyers to more complex cases. That means he understands the industry from the ground up—and knows exactly what brokers need when it comes to support, communication, and getting deals moving.

His approach is simple: be clear, be honest, and keep things moving.

Having been on the front line himself, Ahmad knows the pressure brokers are under and prides himself on being accessible, responsive, and genuinely helpful.

Outside of work, Ahmad is usually halfway through a DIY project, fully convinced it was a good idea at the start. He also goes through phases with the gym, fully committed one minute, then taking a “short break”. Above everything, he’s a family man. A proud husband and father to two beautiful kids, his daughter and son, who keep him grounded and remind him what all the hard work is for.

We’re thrilled to have him on board and can’t wait for our brokers and partners to get to know him.
