QPSMR Companion v25.2 is AVAILABLE NOW!

If you have a ClickOnce version of QPSMR Companion, from the Main window, select [Help] [Check for Updates] to upgrade your software.

New Features include …

Data Collection Input Options
[Only one question at a time on screen], [Use Enter key (and Page Down) for next unanswered question], [Set the focus to the Serial box in the Input Start window] and [Response keys] to show.

Analysis Spreadsheet options buttons and check boxes
[Use default settings], [Remove markers against total], [Keep empty marker rows] keeps a blank row after each row in your tables, even if there are no SIG markers to show and [Change main font] allows you to set the font used for your Excel tables (or use the [Default]).

New Padlock buttons to lock the text used for part of the table
with the lock on, updating the definition of a Column entry, Row entry, or Filter definition will NOT alter the relevant text(s).

The QPSMR support team have recently recorded a short YouTube video which shows how to set up a bank of rating scale questions using the [Make a grid …] toolbar icon. They also demonstrate how to quickly create variables with NET summary responses, then generate labels and a grid summary table.

The whole video takes less than 9 minutes to watch - but the shortcuts shown could save you many hours of work!

This week Senior Data Processing Officer Ian Johnston celebrated 25 years working with QPSMR!

Ian has seen the program develop from an early Windows version, and has been responsible for suggesting many of the time saving features in the new QPSMR Companion program.

Ian particularly likes setting up and analysing product tests, especially when food and or drink is involved - hence we all enjoyed a meal out to say a BIG THANK YOU and to celebrate his long service.

QPSMR Companion 24.1 is AVAILABLE NOW

… and by popular demand, it includes Quick tables!

Simply click the new toolbar icon, select the entries you’d like as the rows and columns - set a filter, format options and an entry to weight them if needed - and [Run Tables].

Also, for analysis in this new version …

QPSMR Companion Reflect files can now be exported from the “Tables” window using a new toolbar icon and there is a new [Keep table names] button on the “Paste special tables” dialog box

And for data …

To make it easier when verifying, only one entry is displayed on screen as you work through the questionnaire. Also, from the “Answers” menu, there is a new [Convert fixed format data file] option which allows you to create a new ASC or UNI data file using the country Locale or UTF setting. This is ideal if you have a non-European multi-country study, with data files that contain texts, as once converted, the Locale setting (from the Control Panel, Region) need not be applied in order to work with the files.

To take advantage of these new features - if you have a recently installed ClickOnce version, open QPSMR Companion from your desktop or the Windows Start menu, and select [Help] [Check for Updates] to upgrade your software.

QPSMR Companion 23.2 is AVAILABLE NOW

QPSMR Companion 23.2 includes a new toolbar icon which automatically creates a set of grid questions. Also, if you open a QDF file that was generated with the classic QPSMR software and a grid is detected, QPSMR Companion will automatically create grid table variables for you!

Also included in this version -

When collecting data using QPSMR Telin, verbatim question texts can now contain any mix of languages and QPSMR Companion Android Input can now use SFTP or FTPS sites for transferring projects and data.

When merging data, multiple csv files can be selected and the data handed in at once - a real time saver if you have many separate files to include!

In your analysis, you can now sig test more than 26 columns against each other, by using column identifiers with more than 1 character - in fact up to 4 characters may be used.
