Explore stress, energy, habits and relationships through personalised assessments, practical insights and one-to-one support. My Story:-

Essentially, my story is the reason why I have changed career and became a therapist. I worked in financial services for a little under 15 years and had my own small but reasonably successful business. This was incredibly stressful and coupled with several romantic break-ups, I developed symptoms of anxiety and depression; and ultimately suicidal thoughts. In a relatively short space of time, I had completely changed from someone that was able to deal with running a business, stressful situations, and the pressures of modern life easily; to simply not being able to cope. I sought professional help and I was able to see the real and immeasurable benefit of talking about my thoughts, my feelings, and my emotional state with an empathetic professional individual. This process ignited a passion in me to help others that are experiencing challenges and I decided that I would retrain, change my career, and find a firm to take over my business as I believe that this is my calling. That my experiences, and more recently, my extensive professional training can be used to help others. I work with clients across a wide range of issues and challenges. I spend time with my clients to get a deep understanding of what their challenges are, and what they are looking to achieve. With the therapy that I provide; we look back to see how these problems have arisen, and equally importantly, to look at how they want their life to be once we have successfully worked together. The main issues that I work with clients on are:-

Stress
Anxiety
Depression
Suicidal thoughts
Insomnia

I am also experienced to work with clients to help with:-

Stopping smoking
Weight control
Alcohol/substance misuse
Confidence
Self-esteem
Relationship issues or breakdown
Fears and Phobias
Fibromyalgia
Chronic pain management
Trauma / PTSD
Mindfulness
Meditation

How do I help? I wholeheartedly believe that therapy is a collaborative process and there is no-size, fits-all approach. My training is focussed on hypnotherapy; however, it covers a range of “talking-therapy” approaches, including personal/life coaching, NLP techniques, mindfulness, and meditation. In working closely together with my clients, together we develop a programme of therapy that best suits their needs, aims, and objectives. Hypnotherapy is an incredibly powerful therapeutic technique which helps to you make changes at the deepest parts of your subconscious mind. It is a deeply relaxing, daydream-like experience in which you remain totally in control and aware throughout. I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation to discuss the area(s) that you would like to work on. I offer (up-to) 2 hour intensive sessions that ordinarily includes a completely personalised hypnotherapy experience which is initially priced at £125.00 per session. Most commonly, I book clients in for a course of 4 x 2hour sessions, as this works out better value overall and it also gives us the time that is necessary to explore and discuss the challenges that you would to work on. Many of my clients start to experience benefits and changes after just one session. However, for the purposes of an example, a smoking cessation programme is 2 or 3 sessions on average; which for an average smoker is less than they spend on cigarettes in a month! If you have any questions, please do message me or feel free to call on 01206 752108, or 07900 366780 anytime. If I am with other clients, I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I’m working late, and because I’m young and cool, I decided to listen to the Mercury Prize nominated albums.

And because I’m neither young nor cool, I was most relieved to see [Sir] Paul McCartney’s album is on the list.

Fibromyalgia: More Research Is Needed

I've also been working on something a little different recently, and I'd really appreciate your support.

Some of you may know that I also run a page dedicated to fibromyalgia, which has gradually grown to over 18,000 followers.

I'm hoping to put that community to good use.

I am starting developing a community-led fibromyalgia research project, exploring the wider experience of living with the condition.

Beyond pain, fatigue and sleep, we're looking at the impact on everyday life, relationships, psychological wellbeing, earlier life experiences, and people's experiences of healthcare and treatment.

The ambition is to gather meaningful insights from people living with fibromyalgia, identify patterns in their experiences, and use the findings to support greater awareness, professional understanding and potentially advocacy with policymakers.

Most importantly, I want the community to help shape the research itself.

I've shared an initial post on the fibromyalgia page asking people what they believe the medical world still doesn't understand, and what questions they would like researchers to explore.

If you live with fibromyalgia, know someone who does, or simply believe this is a worthwhile project, I'd really appreciate you visiting the page, contributing your thoughts and sharing it with others.

Let's see what we can achieve together.

If you know anyone that is living with the symptoms of fibromyalgia, please do share this with them! >>> Fibromyalgia Support

So here it is...

19 weeks after the initial idea.

A project that I swore-blind would only take 2 weeks is finally here.

I have worked harder on this than on anything I have ever worked on before.

I'll be talking a lot more about this in the coming days and weeks.

Before all that... my sincere thanks to my inner circle of wonderful peeps for feedback and being guinea pigs, and offering very considered advice.

But more than that - their belief, support, check-ins - particularly as I fear I may have turned into some sort of feral hermit for the last 4 months.

Check it out.

(for the love of all that is holy, please check it out - Pleeeeeeeasse 🤣)
