It's essential that equity release clients have as much flexibility and control over their lifetime mortgage as possible, given the unpredictability of retirement.

We are one of the lenders who offer ERC exemptions on both downsizing (after 5 years from completion), and within 3 years on the death or admission into long-term care of a partner.

We also offer fixed ERCs, so if your client does incur any penalties, they will always be of a known cost. For intermediaries only

Homeowners using equity release are still taking out loans that could leave them on the hook for tens of thousands of pounds in charges and exit penalties should they ever wish to move home.
