I've completely rebuilt the Business Finance Academy.

Here's why.

Having access to information isn't the same as knowing what to do with it.

You can have videos, templates, Google, YouTube and a million different bits of advice at your fingertips…

And still think: where the heck do I start?

That's what I wanted to change.

So the new Business Finance Academy has a proper structure. Six modules that take you step by step through your business finances.

It starts right at the beginning, with things like registering with HMRC, setting up your bank account and choosing your bookkeeping software. Then it builds from there until you understand your profits, Self Assessment, Making Tax Digital and what your numbers are actually telling you.

Have you been in business for years? You don't have to start at the beginning, you just jump straight to the bit you need.

But if you ARE starting at the beginning, you finally have somewhere that actually starts there.

I don't want the Academy to give you more information that overwhelms you even more.

I have six modules on business finance waiting for you 💜

The training starts right at the very beginning. There's absolutely no assumption that you "should already know this".

I hate that word.

I SHOULD know how much to put aside for tax.
I SHOULD understand my bookkeeping software.
I SHOULD know what I can claim.
I SHOULD probably know whether I'm actually making any money…

But why should you?

You started a business because you knew how to do the thing you do. Nobody handed you a handbook explaining all the financial stuff that comes with it.

This is exactly why I created the Business Finance Academy.

When you're just starting out, finances can feel like the bit you're supposed to understand but nobody ever really explained. So you guess, Google, and hope for the best.

I didn't want anyone to have to muddle through on their own. The Academy is a place where you can ask any question, however small, and get a clear answer, from me or from the brilliant women in the group who've been there too.

That support from each other is one of my favourite things about it.
