Uckfield will come alive for the carnival this weekend, with people filling the streets to enjoy one of the biggest events in the town's calendar.

And while everyone is enjoying the floats, music and celebrations, it's a good reminder of what makes a town centre more than just a collection of buildings.

The shops, cafés, restaurants, offices and independent businesses that occupy Uckfield's commercial buildings all play their part in creating a town centre that people want to visit, work in and be part of.

We're proud to work in Uckfield and to play our part in its commercial community.

A much-needed new facility is coming to the heart of Uckfield ❤️

The old Barclays building on the High Street has been stood empty for nearly 10 years.

But that’s about to change.

We’re delighted to have let the building to Kiddie Capers Childcare, who are transforming it into a new children’s nursery, with plans to open in early 2027.

And what a location.

Right in the town centre, close to shops, cafés and car parking, it’s a really convenient location for local families.

And the property itself extends to almost 3,000 sq ft over the basement, ground and first floors, with more than 1,800 sq ft on the ground floor.

It also benefits from a rear courtyard, two garages and a rear car parking area accessed from Hempstead Road.

We're still on a high after last week's Weald on the Field 🤩

Lawson Commercial was delighted to be one of the headline sponsors of the event - and what an incredible day!

It was a hot one, but that certainly didn't stop the crowds ☀️

There was a fantastic turnout to enjoy the food, drink, music and brilliant selection of stalls.

As one of the biggest events in Uckfield's calendar, it was great to see so many people coming together to enjoy it.

After nine months of tough negotiations, we’re delighted to confirm that a deal has been completed on the former Santander premises on Uckfield High Street.

Cash 4 Access, which operates banking hubs, is now in possession of the building and they are currently carrying out the fit-out works.
