Don't Mention The Budget

News stories have started

The BBC has already started it's coverage of the budget.

It has been reported that the UK Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, is not ruling out tax hikes in the upcoming Autumn budget.

The date for the budget is Wednesday 28th October.

Why are we mentioning it now?

A lot of Regency FX's clients have upcoming property purchases and sales from September to December.

The budget often leads to significant volatility in exchange rates as media speculation grows in the run up.

So what's the answer? Sometimes there's not a lot of choice. Property transactions are contingent on the sale of an existing home.

However some clients have either already sold and are renting, or they have a level of liquidity in the bank.

For those people there are a number of options at their disposal.

Make the currency conversion sooner to avoid market volatility or fix a rate for up 12 months to avoid the same risk.
