Thornton le Dale Sports Association Gala Thornton le Dale S.A. Gala is held annually - usually on the late May bank holiday Sunday. A great day out for all the family! We have limited seating areas.

THANK YOU to Country pursuit images for their continued support & sponsorship. The rosettes & sashes that they provide are absolutely beautiful. Along with images kindly donated to the supreme champions.
Unfortunately this year they had a break down on the way to the show which resulted in them missing some of the earlier classes and not being able to provide on-site printing services. We are very grateful that they still made it and their images will still be available to purchase via their website. Please allow them some time to edit and process.

We have over 50 trade stands & stalls. Ice cream vans, kids rides & entertainments, food catering, bar, dogs shows, horses & lots of classics. The perfect day out is waiting. Come and join us!!! ☀️ 🍻 🍦 🐶 🚗 🐴 🍭

Family £12 (2 adults, 2 children).

We offer FREE onsite field parking
OR you are welcome to use the village pay and display car park right next door.

We politely ask that members of the public entering on foot use the gate nearest the village car park. Thank you.

Current Equine Influenza precautions at our event.

As per our disclaimer please ensure that your horses / ponies have up to date vaccinations.

Please check for warning signs of equine flu before attending:

• High temperature (often over 38.5°C/101.3°F)
• Persistent cough
• Nasal discharge
• Lethargy
• Reduced appetite

If your horse is displaying any signs of equine flu DO NOT ATTEND our event. Ensure your horse is isolated from others & seek advice from your vet.

Equine flu spreads fast through:
• Coughing and sneezing
• Nose to nose contact
• Shared buckets and grooming kits
• Clothing, hands and equipment

Please adhere to reasonable distancing from other horses - we have ample room to spread out in the showing rings, warm up & parking areas.

Please bring your own water barrels / buckets.
Hand gel will be available in the secretary tent.
