Standard Variable Rate (SVR) - A standard variable rate mortgage is an interest rate that is determined by a lender, such as a bank or building society.

The SVR can be influenced to a certain extent by the Bank of England’s base rate.

An advantage of being on your lenders SVR rate is that there is typically no early redemption charges (ERC)

However your interest rate can rise without any warning.

In a lot of cases the lenders SVR rate tends to be a lot higher than fixed rates or tracker rates.

So if your on your lenders SVR rate it’s worth taking a look at seeing what other options are available.

With inflation reducing and the Bank of England base rate currently staying at 5.25%.

This means that most lenders are reducing there interest rates again.

Hopefully this will continue over the next few months.😁

A lot of lenders have now started to reduce there interest rates which is a good sign for the financial market. ✅

Nationwide are dropping there interest rates tomorrow up to 0.40%.

This is a good sign for the financial market. 📈

Some lenders have now started to reduce there rates for example Halifax, Kensington, HSBC, Nationwide and a few others.

The Bank of England’s base rate increased today by 0.25%.

As it stands the Bank of England’s base rate is now at a staggering 5.25%.

The Bank of England is due to review interest rates tomorrow along with inflation. 🤞🏻

We expect interest rates to drop slightly this time with certain lenders. 🙌🏻
