⭐ Meet Paul ⭐

Paul is one of our Account Executives and spends a good chunk of his time doing what every good Account Executive does…

Going out into the big wide world hunting for new business! 🎯

He’s brilliant at building relationships, spotting opportunities and introducing new businesses to the Prizm way of doing things.

But Paul is also much more than a new business man.

He’s a great mentor to some of the younger members of the team, always happy to share his experience and give a bit of advice when it’s needed.

He’s calm, knowledgeable and incredibly approachable — but importantly, he’s also a lot of fun to have around.

Basically, he’s the sort of person who can talk you through a tricky insurance problem one minute and have you laughing about something completely ridiculous the next. 😂

And when Paul isn't out looking for new clients, he’s busy making memories with his family.

He recently headed off to New York with the family, but apparently sightseeing wasn’t quite enough adventure for Paul and his son…

🛶 They went canoeing.

🐎 They then encountered some horses in the river.

😳 And very nearly had a rather unexpected equestrian encounter.

Thankfully, everyone made it out safely — although we’re guessing the horses weren't particularly impressed by their river traffic being interrupted!

So here’s to Paul — Account Executive, new business hunter, mentor, family man, calm head and occasional canoeing adventurer.

We’re very glad he’s part of the Prizm team — and hopefully next time he goes canoeing, the wildlife gives him a little more room! 🛶😂

⭐ Meet Sarah ⭐

Sarah is our Senior Account Handler and, as if looking after her own clients wasn’t enough, she also looks after all of our handlers.

Basically, if something needs organising, sorting, checking, chasing or just generally getting done… there’s a very good chance Sarah will be somewhere in the middle of it! 😂

Sarah has a fantastic attitude to her job and genuinely has the approach of “nothing is too much trouble.”

Whatever we throw at her, she gets stuck in.

And she does it with a smile.

She’s also an Ambassador for one of our insurers, which means she gets to tell them exactly how things look from a broker’s point of view — the good, the bad and everything in between!

It’s a role that suits Sarah perfectly because she’s always happy to speak up, share her views and have a bit of fun along the way.

Outside of Prizm, Sarah is Mum to Louie — quite possibly the most gorgeous little boy you could ever wish to meet. ❤️

And Sarah is another member of our ever-growing “Prizm people who have recently moved house” club! 🏠

Let’s just say the move didn’t go entirely to plan…

…but Sarah took it all in her stride, got organised, got stuck in and carried on.

Which is pretty much Sarah’s approach to everything!

She’s incredibly organised, dependable, positive and always willing to help — exactly the sort of person you want in your corner.

So here’s to Sarah — Senior Account Handler, handler wrangler, insurer Ambassador, super-organised mover, brilliant colleague and Mum to gorgeous Louie.

⭐ Meet Andrea ⭐

If there’s one person you want looking after your fleet insurance, it’s Andrea — our very own Fleet Insurance Queen! 👑🚚🚗

Andrea is another long-serving member of the Prizm team and one of our Commercial Account Handlers.

She’s particularly brilliant when it comes to motor fleets, where things can change at the drop of a hat.

New vehicle?
Vehicle removed?
Driver change?
Need it sorted now?

That’s where Andrea comes in.

Fleet insurance can be fast-paced and, at times, pretty stressful, but Andrea’s incredible attention to detail, calm approach and genuinely kind nature make her absolutely perfect for the job.

She’s the sort of person who quietly gets on with things and makes sure they’re done properly — even when there are 17 things happening at once!

Away from insurance, Andrea is very much a family girl. ❤️

She’s a Nanny and is about to become one again, so there’s going to be even more little people to spoil very soon! 👶

She also loves camping and spending time with her family.

But there is one other very important fact about Andrea…

🍻 She has a PUB IN HER BACK GARDEN. 🍻

Yes. You read that correctly.

A proper pub.

In her garden.

And despite Andrea being part of the Prizm team for quite some time, we have somehow not yet been invited.

We’re beginning to think this may be a deliberate oversight. 😂

Andrea, the invitation is officially out there. We’ll bring the snacks. 🍻

So here’s to Andrea — Fleet Insurance Queen, Commercial Account Handler, Nanny, camper, family girl and owner of the pub we’re still waiting to visit!

Local insurance firm Prizm Solutions Ltd was earlier this year awarded Accredited Cyber Insurance Broker status by the British Insurance Brokers' Association.

The company is one of only two insurance brokers in the Midlands – and just 17 nationwide – to receive the new accreditation.

Managing Director Peter Robinson says he looks forward to helping others "strengthen their cyber resilience".

⭐ Meet Georgia ⭐

Georgia has been part of the Prizm team for a couple of years and is one of our Commercial handlers, looking after our business clients and making sure all those important details are taken care of.

She’s incredibly conscientious and likes to make sure things are right before they go out the door — which is exactly the sort of person you want looking after your insurance!

She’s also another member of the team with a brilliant telephone manner and genuinely cares about helping our clients.

Away from Prizm, Georgia has recently had a pretty big project on her hands…

🏠 She’s moved house with her boyfriend!

And because moving house apparently wasn’t enough of a challenge, she’s also been getting stuck into plenty of DIY.

We’re not sure whether she’s enjoying it or questioning every life decision that led her to pick up a paintbrush… but we’re looking forward to seeing the finished results! 😂

Georgia is also another foodie in the Prizm office — and occasionally arrives with something for us to try.

We’ve had all sorts of interesting and wonderful things appear…

…but the latest one really got our attention.

A purple biscuit. 💜🍪

Yes, purple.

No, we’re still not entirely sure why.

But obviously, we ate it.

Because when someone brings food into the Prizm office, you don't ask too many questions. 😂

Georgia is a brilliant part of our team — thoughtful, reliable, caring and always keen to do a great job for our clients.

We’re very glad she’s part of the Prizm family. ❤️

⭐ Meet Dean ⭐

Dean is one of our more experienced handlers and, quite simply, the office wouldn’t be the same without him.

He has an incredible dry wit, a brilliant sense of humour and an attention to detail that borders on the obsessive — which, fortunately for us, is exactly what you want from someone dealing with insurance!

Nothing much gets past Dean.

He’s also a man who knows how to enjoy his time away from the office. 🌎✈️

Dean loves travelling and has a particular talent for finding some of the most brilliant experiences, especially when there’s food involved. 🍽️

And if you’re lucky enough to get him talking, he has some wonderfully funny stories to tell.

Although… we have recently learned that perhaps not every story should be taken entirely at face value. 😂

Take the recent holiday story…

Dean’s wife apparently missed a flight because her visa wasn’t up to date, meaning Dean had to spend an unexpected extra night away.

Now, we’re not saying we don’t believe him…

…but it does seem remarkably convenient that the outcome was another night away, somewhere with good food. 🤔😂

We’ll let you make your own minds up.

What we do know is that Dean is a hugely valued part of the Prizm team. His experience, attention to detail and wonderfully dry sense of humour make him exactly the sort of person you want around.

Although perhaps we should start checking the facts on his holiday stories. 😉

Here’s to Dean — insurance expert, detail detective, food enthusiast, storyteller and possible accidental holiday extension specialist.

⭐ Meet Olly ⭐

Olly is another one of our “came to us as an apprentice and turned out to be brilliant, so we kept him” stories. 😉

And we’re very glad we did!

Olly mainly looks after our Personal Lines clients, but these days he’s spreading his wings into a bit of Commercial work too, as well as helping out with claims.

He’s also brilliant on the phone and, perhaps more importantly, genuinely cares about helping people.

Which, when you work in insurance, is exactly what you want.

But there are a few things you’ll notice about Olly that have absolutely nothing to do with insurance…

⚽ He loves his football
⛳ He loves his golf
💇‍♂️ He has an impressive collection of hairstyles
🎨 And he has an amazing collection of tattoos

We’re pretty sure the tattoos aren't covered in the CII syllabus, but they certainly add a bit of personality to the office! 😂

Olly has grown hugely since joining us as an apprentice and has become a really important part of the Prizm team.

He’s knowledgeable, approachable, great with clients and always happy to help — which is probably why he’s still here. 😉

So here’s to Olly — insurance professional, golfer, football fan, hairstyle enthusiast and walking piece of art.

⭐ Meet Jake ⭐

Jake joined us as an apprentice, but fast forward a few years and he’s got just ONE exam left to sit in a few weeks’ time before he can officially call himself fully qualified! 🎓🙌

And we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with him.

Jake has a maturity beyond his years when it comes to work. He’s incredibly bright, has an excellent telephone manner and is the person you can trust to look after our Personal Lines clients — sorting out everything from your household and motor insurance to all the other important bits that keep life properly insured.

But then…

Every so often, Jake will appear with a question that absolutely nobody saw coming.

For example:

“If Luke Littler and Mo Farah ran a marathon, but had to hit a treble 20 after every mile, who would win?”

🤔

Yep.

That actually happened.

We’re still not entirely sure why this was important to know, but there was definitely a serious discussion about it.

And that’s Jake.

Quirky. Bright. Completely unpredictable. And a brilliant part of the Prizm team. 😂

Before joining us, Jake worked in a fish and chip shop — so he’s gone from serving up chips to serving up insurance. We’re not sure which is more dangerous. 🍟😂

We love having Jake around the office and we’re already looking forward to cracking open the fizz when he passes that final exam in a few weeks.

So here’s to Jake — apprentice, future fully qualified insurance professional, occasional provider of extremely random sporting scenarios… and all-round great bloke. 🥂

⭐ Meet Kirsty ⭐

Kirsty is our Office Administrator and, in her own words, a little camera shy.

So rather than subject her to a full-blown photoshoot, she suggested this photo as a more accurate representation of herself.

We think she may have a point. 😂

Kirsty is, quite simply, marvellous.

She answers the phone, looks after our finances, keeps an eye on compliance and, most importantly, keeps the rest of us in order. Which is no small job!

She also has an extraordinary and slightly worrying knowledge of every barcode in M&S and regularly arrives with new products for us to try.

Why?

Because Kirsty is, quite simply… a feeder. 😂🍫🍪🥐

There is always something appearing in the office. We’re not complaining. In fact, we actively encourage it.

But there is one important piece of advice for anyone dealing with Kirsty:

⚠️ DO NOT TALK TO HER ON A MONDAY. ⚠️

We’re not entirely sure whether she’s recovering from the weekend, planning the week ahead or simply doesn’t like Mondays…

…but frankly, we’ve learned not to ask. 😂

Behind all the food, finances and frightening knowledge of M&S barcodes, Kirsty is one of the people who quietly makes sure everything at Prizm keeps running.

She’s an all-round good egg — and we really couldn’t manage without her. ❤️

So here’s to Kirsty — office organiser, financial wizard, compliance keeper and chief feeder.

20 years of Prizm wouldn’t have been the same without you! 🥂

🎉 60? TRACY? Surely not! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating one of our Directors, the fabulous Tracy, who is officially turning 60… although we’re choosing to believe that’s a typo. 😉

When she’s not keeping us all on our toes at Prizm, Tracy is busy running our sister company, Maximity, and has even been recognised as one of the Top Women in IT. 💻👏

Clearly, 60 is the new 21… because Tracy certainly doesn’t look a day over it! Although we’re not quite sure whether that’s down to good genes, travelling the world, enjoying her garden or having four cats to keep her young! 🐈🐈🐈🐈

We’re just hoping she doesn’t start behaving like a 60-year-old now… although knowing Tracy, she’ll probably be too busy running two businesses to notice! 😂
