Expo – post event thank you

Thank you to everyone who visited the Hills Waste Solutions stand at the West Wiltshire Business Expo 2026.

It was a pleasure meeting so many local businesses, hearing about the challenges you're facing, and having some great conversations about preparing for Simpler Recycling ahead of the 31 March 2027 deadline.

Events like this are a fantastic opportunity to connect with the local business community, share ideas and provide practical advice to help businesses stay compliant and recycle more effectively.

A special thank you to Trowbridge Chamber of Commerce, Westbury & District Chamber of Commerce and Melksham Chamber of Commerce for organising such a well-run event and bringing together businesses from across the region.

Correctly disposing of food waste will be one of the biggest changes for many small businesses, brought about by Simpler Recycling legislation.

In a recent survey we conducted 80% of smaller businesses weren't currently separating food waste.

This suggests many businesses may need to make changes before the March 2027 Simpler Recycling deadline.
