It was great to welcome Avril Dugdale, BDM from Nottingham Building Society, to the IMDNE office this week to introduce the team to their innovative Life Happens Mortgage range.

Life doesn't always go to plan, and it's refreshing to see a lender recognising that customers can recover from financial setbacks and still achieve their homeownership goals. The Life Happens range offers a more flexible underwriting approach for borrowers whose circumstances may not fit traditional lending criteria.

A huge thank you to Avril for taking the time to share the proposition and answer our questions. It's another excellent option for us to consider when helping clients who simply need a lender willing to look beyond the credit score.

Lyndsey brings with her many years of administrative experience gained within the NHS, where she developed exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and a genuine passion for helping people. Her friendly and professional approach will ensure our clients continue to receive the high level of service and support they have come to expect from IMDNE.

Lyndsey will play an important role in supporting our advisers and clients, helping mortgage applications progress smoothly from enquiry through to completion.

Outside of work, Lyndsey enjoys following 🔴⚪ SAFC, travelling ✈️, attending live music events 🎶 and spending quality time with friends and family ❤️.

A Reminder of Why We Do What We Do

Back from holiday to one of the nicest surprises I've received in a long time.

As mortgage advisers, we spend hours dealing with lender criteria, underwriting queries, solicitors, paperwork and deadlines. Sometimes it's easy to forget the excitement clients feel when they finally get the keys to their new home.

Then messages like these arrive.

What makes these completions even more special is the journey. This particular case was submitted on 17th October and finally completed on 4th June. To say it was a test of patience for everyone involved would be an understatement. There were plenty of hurdles along the way, but we got there in the end.

Not only did these wonderful clients complete their new home, but they also took the time to send these fantastic photos to share the moment. The humour, effort and kindness behind them genuinely made my day.

Helping people buy a home is about far more than arranging a mortgage.
It's about guiding clients through what can sometimes be a long and stressful process and being there to celebrate when the finish line is finally crossed.

Congratulations, and thank you for allowing IMDNE to be part of your journey.
