The market I was going to be at tomorrow has been cancelled due to the bad weather that’s forecast.

THIS ENGLISH SUMMER GOT US AGAIN.

Last year torrential rain hit our event after a few hours. This year, thunder/lightning is forecast which means the event is not safe for our community.

After a LOT of deliberation, it’s with heavy hearts that we must cancel this year’s summer social. But all is not lost!

We’ve communicated with our artists, vendors, volunteers and team over the past couple of days to share the possibility of this happening. We’re absolutely gutted, particularly for those vendors who rely on the income. However your safety will always come first.

But! We are working with The Royal Oak to move as much of what has been planned inside! Watch this space; we’re planning a big pivot to still provide the community a fantastic day.

We wanted to leave this decision until as late as possible in case the weather changed its tune, so give us a couple of hours to finalise this new plan. Stay tuned!

A few times now whilst doing markets I’ve been asked if any of my bags match the hairbands or flannels.
I honestly say ‘no I’ve never actually thought to make matching’. Mostly because the fabrics I use for the stars are just scrap ends of fabric I have.
Anyway it got me thinking…. I’ve made a couple of matching sets.
