Well this was one of those "fun" jobs.. but still managed to get it all cut and fitted ready to drive away in just 2 days. Ant Dansons Reliant robin MK3 fitted with a rare BN1 interior. All the interior parts was as it came out the molds so alot of measuring and cutting to make them fit nicely. Everything was made to fit exactly how he wanted it, with the dash being a blank canvas it made sense. Notice how there's no bulky switches covering the dash as everything is controlled by nice small round rocker switches in the centre to give it that more modern feel. He didn't want the side vents hooking up so ofcorse why not stick in a tachometer there instead, its as if it was made for it 😉 you'll also notice how smooth the centre console is with nothing sticking out. The heater valve has already been removed and the choke lever has also been relocated nicely out the way to give that nice smooth flowing look to the centre console. It really does feel an absolute pleasure to sit in. Theres still a few bits to do at a later date such as make a piece for the bottom of the glove box (not sure why the molds were made That way) and make a cover for top of the handbrake surround and finally get the matching BN door cards cut and installed. What an absolute difference it makes.

Had a rare robin mk2 van in for alot of work, engine was hanging out as a previous "mechanic" said changing a gearbox was a 20 minute job for it to then it spend 2 years on axle stands with an engine hanging out the bottom. Its had new gearbox, dashboard repaired and reinstalled correctly, seats installed correctly. New front brakes (shoes, cylinders, drum and brake lines) all electronics tested amd checked, lights fixed, new drivers headlight and loads more bits for its MOT. I also decided to bring it back to life with a good buff n polish aswell as painting the rear panels and bumpers to give it a nice fresh look again. Happy to say its come up a treat and looks stunning 😙👌 the engine runs and drives so smooth its a real pleasure to drive. Took it for an MOT and passed with a clean sheet.

Reliant trike (the rat) in for more engine work.. after having a full engine rebuild not 12 months ago it had been left outside for a long time with the engine exposed to the elements all winter. Unfortunately the weather had taken its toll on the engine and had alot of moisture gather inside the engine which had rusted and seized cylinder 4. Thankfully after a thorough inspection everything else in the engine was absolutely fine. the engine had no other corrosion down the bottom end so it was a easy fix and luckily not an expensive fix. i was able to save the engine and replace the damaged parts and build it back up (again) valves had been removed, cleaned and reseated, cylider head and ports had been cleaned of any corrosion, new piston, liner, rings and gaskets installed, carb was seized also so it had been stripped, cleaned and rebuilt and now the engine runs sweet again.. ive now advised the owner to keep it covered at all times when not being used to avoid this issue in the future. As usual i forgot to take more photos when the engine was complete. 🙄

Another one saved in just under a month. 1999 Reliant robin mk3. Been parked up since 2008.
The Engine and brakes was seized solid and was looking very sorry for itself. Its now all cleaned and had the engine cleaned and rebuilt. Starts, runs, drives and stops beautifully like a brand new car. She is now up for sale and has passed a 12 month mot with no advisories. Asking £3,500 for this beautiful example of a reliant robin mk3. All electronics work brilliantly and the engine is silent with no rattles or ticks. 27,000 genuine miles.. The car has had loads of new parts fitted. Paintwork has a few blemishes which you can see on the photos, but not that noticeable. Veiwing is welcome. Its had new brakes all round (shoe's and cylinders) new handbrake cable, clutch cable, new radiator, number plates, engine gaskets, seals, mounts ect.. too many parts to be able to name them all.

Price is firm at £3,500

Best hurry, one of the nicest examples of a reliant robin ive seen in a long time. I dont think this one will hang about long.

Had a reliant rat trike in today for a diagnosis as to why it keeps cutting out and struggling to start. Turns out it was just a simple case of old and worn ignition parts. Just new HT leads, distributor cap and rotor arm. Whilst replacing them components it was only right that id give it a quick tune up by setting the timing and adjusting the carburetor.

Customer is very satisfied and said it runs like a dream 👌

The zombie pig (reliant robin mk2) is all back on the road now finally after having the go-ahead from the insurance company. New axle, leaf springs, shocks, petrol filler hose, propshaf all fitted and back driving. Unfortunately as much as the cosmetics are driving me crazy to leave as they are. the owner wants to leave that job for another day as hes grateful for just being able to drive it again and it not be written off. Only took 2 days to replace all the damaged parts with new parts and get it back driveable again. (The steel wheels was put on the car backwards on purpose so it gave the clearance to actually be able to move the car)

Nice little yamaha virago xv750 in for a new cam and exhaust work, luckily the damage was very minimal and could have potentially been much worse. New cam fitted and exhaust studs removed as one had snapped, new aftermarket exhausts fitted so its now nice and loud with that beautiful v-twin thump thump sound 😚👌 much better than the huge standard oil barrel type exhaust that sits under the bike..rear downpipe was rotten on the bottom so the rotten section cut out and new section fabricated and welded up to fit the new pipes. It now runs sweet and sounds incredible.

Reliant robin mk2 in for pre mot checks and to be taken to the mot station. Bit of work first before putting it through. Inlet manifold was damaged so new one has been installed, the rear lights had been taken out and and cleaned so now all lights are working nice and bright as they should. Quick adjustment of the brakes then it was good to go. And as always it was treated to a good wash inside and out so the customer can come back to a nice clean and tidy car.

Yet another one that passed its mot with no advisories 👌

Harley davidson dyna in for chain and sprockets after forgetting to take the lock off the chain. (It happens to all of us eventually) it unfortunately was abit more than a damaged chain as it had bent the spindle in the process, wheel bearings turned out to be clunky aswell so new spindle and bearings fitted aswell. Was alittle bit of a headache as the bike had been modified with other parts, aswell as a chain conversion from the ordinary belt drive system so finding the correct parts was challenging but as always I got the job jone. Ofcorse the sprocket was modified too so the centre had to be bored out to the correct size to fit the wheel also. This bike dose sounds lovely though 👌

The "zombie pig" back in after being involved in a small accident. Luckily the driver was able to miss a head on collision by quite literally inches..unfortunately catching the rear wheel on the car and sending it into the curb which has destroyed the axle and leaf springs. Hopefully I can persuade the insurance company that it can be fixed and that they won't write it off. Just need to assess the full scale of the damages then hopefully on to the repairs. As you may know by now I don't let jobs like these scare me off that easily. Once I have the go ahead then this "zombie pig" will be back in tip top shape in no time and all work completed to a high standard as always. 😉👌

Well I've not posted for a while but it has been pretty busy the past couple of months. Here is the latest one that's been done. Managed to save a sad, abandoned reliant robin mk2. Been dumped between two containers in a Bush for the best part of 8 years. Such a shame to see it sat in the sorry state it was in. But something told me it had to be saved so out came the tools. In just shy of 2 months I was able to turn this little scrapper into a lovely little running bundle of joy. Happy to say it's now had a second chance of life and can bring more smiles to people faces. There's alot of work that has been carried out on this car, way too much to list. Just passed its first mot in many, many years and is now up for sale and ready to be driven away.

£1,900 or very nearest offer.
12 months clean MOT.
Many new parts.
Logbook present.
