🦁 **Reflection alert** 🦁
This was a good way to end this career on a high back in 2022, also awarded in 2021.
I thoroughly loved what I was doing, loved working with the people I did and the wonderful relationships I had with my clients over those eight years.
The pandemic, however, affected my mental health to the point I hated just about everything in my life. I'd never had so many mortgage difficulties, people getting declined left right and centre even with weeks of work on my behalf, and the anticipation and anxiety the clients had to endure. Being on the phone to lenders (Barclays the worst) for half a day just for the call to drop and we had to start again with a new lender or persevere with another attempt to call.
I was so fed up with the difficulties of the economy, the impact it was having on my lovely clients, especially when the "Trussecomics" kicked in and my clients were seeing hikes in their mortgage payments and it was totally out of my control.
I think I was an adviser in quite a 'golden era' where the vast majority of the time I was saving people money year on year and financially protecting those clients and their families.
I don't know why I woke up and this was on my mind 😂 but even though I'm working on a career change. I am proud of those eight years, the relationships and friendships I built and the success I had, appearing in The Times for being a Top Rated Financial Adviser my last two years in business.
What a great post to reflect on! Wishing everyone who supported me over that time all of the best!
Any of my clients who were still in need of an adviser I recommend with no hesitation the highly qualified Lindsey Gallagher from The Original Mortgage Company Ltd to look after your financial needs. She has already been helping my client base and I cannot recommend her and The Original Mortgage company highly enough.
