Hi all, whereas there has not been much good news to report in the last 3 months, we are pleased to confirm the launch of the new Scottish Government First Home Fund! This is a Shared Equity Scheme which allows you to borrow up to £10,000 from the fund to help purchase your first home. The Scottish Government will retain an equity share in your property until you either buy it out or sell the property. There is no interest charged and no monthly payment to make either. Ideal for those with a small amount of savings as typically you will be required to provide a 5% deposit.

Hi all!

Sorry we have not posted for a while, as you can tell we are not prolific FaceBookers.

However, in light of recent events in the Middle East we felt we should say that we have been seeing many mortgage lenders increasing rates last week and this week as the money markets get edgy and swap rates rise meaning that borrowing costs increase.

There are still some great rates to be had so if you have been delaying your mortgage review or if you are thinking of moving or buying for the first time, don't dilly dally! That is all!
