Over one million rail tickets will be slashed by up to 50% as the government and rail industry launch the first-of-its-kind Great British Rail Sale.

The public is encouraged to take advantage of this unprecedented sale, which sees for the first time multiple operators come together to offer nationwide savings.

Tickets go on sale from 19 April with discounted tickets available on journeys from 25 April to 27 May.

Don't forget, Odeon Southend accepts Meerkat codes, giving two for one tickets, usable on any film on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so only £4 or £4.50 each (minimum 2 people).

Sky Cinema (which is playing the new film "The Boy Called Christmas") costs £11 (sometimes more) for Sky customers but anyone can watch it for only £5.99 per month (for 3 months) through NOW TV.
You can have 6 devices attached to your account.
You can watch it on Xbox one, PlayStation 4 & 5, set top boxes, smartphones, tablets, laptops, Smart TVs but I watch mine through a Chromecast plugged into the back of my TV (which can be moved from room to room).
Go to the website www.nowtv.com, it should bring you up an offer of "entertainment" package, Sky cinema package and a Boost. You can remove Entertainment and the boost, leaving just £5.99 to pay. After 3 months, it jumps to £9.99 but you can cancel anytime if you don't want to keep it. DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE THE BOOST

If you'd like to go and see the new James Bond film "No Time To Die" and you're available during the day, midweek, you can get tickets for only £6 (that's £5.05 ticket and 95p booking fee).
Register for the Odeon app and scroll through the films for the yellow section which says "My Odeon Saver".
Enjoy (it's 2 hours 40 minutes long 😮) I haven't seen it yet but hope to this week.

If you're planning a day out to Merlin attractions, these Kellogg's vouchers are brilliant, "buy a child ticket, adult goes free".
You should book online in advance to guarantee tickets and you MUST take your cardboard vouchers with you otherwise you'll have to buy a full priced ticket at the gate. At the moment, I can only find them on Rice Krispies bars in Asda (£1).
YAZOO milkshakes (Asda 50p) are offering two for one vouchers for Alton Towers and Thorpe Park. Again, book ahead online and take the wrapper of the milkshake with you.

C2C used to have "2FOR1" leaflets at the train stations but they don't seem to have them any more and for most things, booking in advance is essential (booking your train tickets in advance also saves money and Groupsave if three people travelling and children under 11 travel free around London if with an adult).
Here's how to use the vouchers, taken from C2C website.

"Find the 2FOR1 London offer you’d like to redeem. Then download your voucher by clicking “Claim” on that page, and book a c2c train to London. When you arrive at the attraction, show your voucher and train ticket to get discounted entry"

Get 2FOR1 at hundreds of London attractions when you take the train with c2c. Choose from top attractions like London Zoo, Madame Tussauds and many more.
