Following the budget in March 2021 the stamp duty holiday in England and Northern Ireland for properties up to the value of £500,000 has been extended. The Chancellor has announced that the stamp duty holiday will continue until 30 June 2021. After that, the point at which you start paying stamp duty will be reduced to £250,000 – double the normal level – until the end of September. From October, stamp duty will return to normal, with the point at which you start paying set at £125,000 www.thetimes.co.uk-money-mentor/article/stamp-duty-holiday-extended/
