Hi Everyone,

Hope you and your families are all safe and well.

I am running a little competition with my lovely friend and colleague here at the office Rachel.

After speaking to some of my NHS staff friends and clients they have said how much their hands hurt due to the amount of times they are washing them.

I have purchased 5 Body Shop H**p hand creams through FM Fragrances and Cosmetics with Rachel. We want to send these out to 5 members of the NHS who are working so hard to keep us and our families safe and well.

To enter:

* Please nominate yourself or nominate a friend and tag them on my page

We will them draw the winner and let them know within the next week.

I know it’s not much but it’s just a little something to say thank you.

Best wishes to you all.

Stephen

Hi Everyone.

I hope you are all safe and well.

Due to the governments announcement of lenders offering 3 months payment holidays I wanted to try and provide people with the contact details of how to go about it. My phone is ringing off the hook and I’m finding it hard to answer each individual call as quickly as I would like so I thought this would be the best way I could help as many people as I could as quickly as I could. This table shows the contact details for some of the larger banks. I will be adding to this list and will post updated versions with more lenders on as and when I have the details. I am snowed under so please bear with me!

Key points to remember:

* Most lenders will need proof of financial difficulty to arrange the holiday. This isn’t a blanket 3 month holiday for everyone.
* The lenders telephone lines are inundated at present so expect delays!
* When arranging the payment holiday please seek assurance that they will not mark this on your credit file as an “arrangement to pay”. This can affect your credit file. The information we have so far is credit files won’t be affected I just want to make sure for my clients.
* If you are coming towards the end of your current mortgage deal lenders may use this as a time to try and tie you in to new lending with them. They will have a captive audience! The rates are so low at the moment so please contact me for independent advice if you are approaching the end of your current mortgage deal in the coming months. I want to try and save clients as much money as possible during this difficult time.
* If you are already a client of mine with a mortgage due in the next 4 months we will be writing to you anyway to arrange a review.

This is such a fluid and fast moving situation. I will do my best to keep you updated as quickly and as often as I can. Its a tough time but we will get through it together.

Stay safe and best wishes.

Hi Everyone,

So the chancellor has announced that lenders will offer a 3 month mortgage holiday. Please note, I expect lenders will need customers to prove they are self isolating and/or being financially impacted by the virus for them to be granted. I will get clarity on this in the next day or so I believe.

Payment holidays usually take the form of adding the 3 missed payments to your mortgage balance. When the repayments start up again they will be slightly higher due to the increased mortgage balance. The lenders may look to offer the option to increase the mortgage term by 3 months which should mean repayments would stay the same but I need to get information from the lenders to see if this will be an option.

The good news is that if a payment holiday is granted this won’t affect your credit file. Traditionally some lenders class it as an “arrangement to pay” which can affect your credit. From what I have read so far the payment holidays won’t affect your credit.

I am also reading some lenders may look to also offer holidays on personal loans. I will provide information as and when I know more about this and which lenders are to offer them.

As I receive notifications from each lender following the news I will keep you updated. I will also look to post the telephone numbers for the lenders shortly also. I’m not sure if specific telephone numbers will be set up or if they will use their current telephone channels.

Please feel free to share this with family, friends and colleagues as I am here to help in any way I can.

Morning everyone.

As we enter the unknown I know how worried we are all going to be from a financial aspect.

Over the coming days I expect to get more guidance from the banks on how they will be helping customers with payment holidays, increasing terms or maybe even temporary changes in repayment methods. I would also expect to see an increase in debt consolidation applications in the coming months as people aim to increase surplus monthly income.

I just wanted to let people know I will be posting updates on here as and when they arise.

If anyone does need any advice or support please don’t hesitate to message me. My job is to support people through stages of their lives and this is going to be a very difficult stage for us all.

Stay safe everyone and I am here if you need me.
