What a way to start the week! A 1-1 sit down with local Sheffield Entrepreneur and multi business owner . David spoke about his experience with financial protection, the situations where he’s had to use it on more than one occasion and why it matters to him.

David used words such as “unexpected things”, “saved me”, “depleting his own resources” & “acting quickly” amongst others as to why he then and still do this day advocates for having financial protection.

We’d all wish for a way out if we didn’t have one.

SICK PAY VS INCOME PROTECTION ‼️

One is generically given out like tissue paper whilst one is tailored to your needs personally.

One is short term & might cover you for up to 6 months (depending on your sector), the other is long term & can cover you for up to 5+ years.

Around 7% of UK adults have Income Protection, we have to ask why? People underestimate the risk of long-term sickness whilst others assume their employer will cover them (they won’t&dont). Although it’s less well-known than life or critical illness cover, it’s just as important.
Don’t prioritise short term expenses over long term resilience.

Do you fall into some of these high risk industries?

Let’s have a chat

Over the last 5 months I have helped 36 families & individuals protect and cover their household income if the sh*t hit the fan and their income stopped! 💰🛡️

How many of us could honestly check our balances at this very moment and comfortably say our savings could cover us, our families, maintain our current lifestyles and cover any added or unexpected bills long enough for us to be off work for a long period of time if we were to fall ill or hurt?

How many still think their employer will keep paying them forever?

Is half pay enough?

The price isn’t going to make a difference, the value will.

When considering multiple options, we sometimes choose the cheapest because the best one is “too expensive” or “out of the budget” that you’ve convinced yourself you have but the reality is the small difference in price is a huge difference in value. It’s usually the difference between you being paid out and you being the one paying out, the difference between mediocre and excellence.

When looking at options do we focus on the numbers or on the reward/risk for when we need it the most?

WORLDWIDE CANCER TREATMENT FOR £3 ‼️

So many of us dread to hear the word cancer yet so many of us will or have been affected by it.

But for £3 per month you can ensure you and your family are able to receive the best cancer treatment from anywhere around the world 🌍

That’s the same price as the standard coffee order ☕️ The average coffee bills you £3-£4.
For some this is a daily habit, to grab that £3 coffee before or after work, on the way to a football game or on our lunch breaks. That’s £21-£28 EVERY WEEK!

If the worst day happened and you needed it, would you sacrifice that one coffee for you and your family? It’s the price of a Starbucks or Costa ☕️

When the income stops but the bills keep coming, what would you do?

People often mention life insurance (great) and injury cover (also great) but what about your income. What about when the one thing we all rely on to get by day to day is no longer an option. Income keeps the lights on and the bellies full.

Is Statutory Sick Pay enough to pay your bills and maintain your current lifestyle?

If your income stopped tomorrow, how long would you be able to maintain your current standard of living?
