Freelance Bookkeeper – Remote (UK) 📊
1 day per week to start | £20–£22 per hour

I’m looking for an experienced freelance bookkeeper to join my small, friendly remote team 💻

This role would suit someone confident working independently, who enjoys working with a variety of clients and takes real pride in accuracy and client care.

The role includes:
-Bookkeeping using Xero & QuickBooks
-VAT returns
-Journals and catch-up bookkeeping (accruals, prepayments, -depreciation, etc.)
-Working with limited companies, sole traders, LLPs and charities

You’ll need:
-Public indemnity insurance and AML cover
-Proven UK bookkeeping experience
-Strong knowledge of VAT
-Excellent attention to detail and time management
-Confidence working remotely and managing multiple clients
-Experience using Google Drive

Nice to have (but not essential):
-Experience with FreeAgent & ClearBooks
-Excel formulas (IF, SUMIF, VLOOKUP)
-Experience working freelance for a bookkeeping or accountancy practice

Contract details:
-Freelance / self-employed
-£20–£22 per hour depending on experience
-Around 1 day per week initially, with potential for more
-Flexible working – evenings/weekends considered if deadlines are met

Contracted hours are 8 hours a week to be worked on an agreed day of the week by both Base2Base Bookkeeping & the successful candidate.
