We have recently said an emotional goodbye to Senior Account Handler Kerry Booth, who has retired after 19 years of service with R K Henshall.

R K Henshall is turning 50 this year!

What better time to reflect on our journey and our place in the local community?

We’ve built a strong partnership with local charity Supported Community Business (SCB). From helping secure £5,000 through the Aviva Community Awards in 2019 to volunteering at their new premises last Christmas, we’re pleased to support the important work they deliver in our community.

Just like that, we're a month into 2026, and we have a big year ahead! This year, R K Henshall turns 50 years old.

Back in November 1976, Bob Henshall founded R K Henshall Insurance Brokers. Since then, it's been quite a journey, and we're excited to be stepping into a new era.

Our clients remain at the heart of everything we do, and we wouldn't be where we are today without the incredible team behind it all.

Our Christmas volunteering day with Supported Community Business was a success.

Mark, Ruth, Melanie, Alex and Aimee spent the day down at SCB, helping to decorate their new premises.

It was a great way for our team to spend the day together, giving back to our local community. The team had lots of help from some SCB service users, who were all incredibly welcoming.

We can't wait to see the finished building!

R K Henshall recently took part in the Ardonagh Community Trust Miles for MSF challenge. For every mile completed, Ardonagh Community trust donated £5 to Médecins Sans Frontières.

From walking to cycling, we managed to smash our target of 130 miles and reach 320 miles! A big thank you to Sandbach Health and Fitness for lending us two of their exercise bikes to complete the challenge.

To fuel the miles, we also had a cake sale in the office, raising another £140 to be matched by Ardonagh Community Trust.

Well done to everyone across the business who got involved in this challenge.

This is what giving back is all about - having fun, coming together and making a difference.

Give Back Day 2025 is underway at R K Henshall.

Today, we are taking part in Ardonagh Community Trust global Give Back Day, to raise money for Médecins sans frontières.

We have a fantastic team effort going on, from completing miles on the exercise bikes, to a staff walk and a cake sale.
