Halifax cheque deposit

Paying in cheques
- Pay in cheques of up to £10,000 each, or a total of £10,000 a day.
- Our Mobile Banking app takes a photo of the cheque and reads the details.
- It saves you a trip to the branch and the money is usually available the next working day.
- alternatively you can send your cheque by regular or tracked post. We recommend using tracked post for added security. Place your cheque in a stamped envelope and send it to: LBG Processing, PO Box 13664, Harlow, CM20 9XF.
You can expect the money to reach your account within 2 working days from when we receive the cheque.

Santander cheque deposit

Pay in a cheque using the Mobile Banking app. All you need is a mobile phone with a camera.

Before you get started, please check:

-your cheque is in pound sterling (£) and from a UK bank.
- your cheque is for £5000 or less.
- all information on the cheque is completed.
- the written amount and the numerical amount on the cheque are the same.
- You can use the app to pay in a total of £5000-worth of cheques per eligible account per day.

Pay in a cheque at a branch or cash machine
Pay in a cheque by post
You can use the post to deposit cheques into your current account, credit card account or savings account with a sort code and account number. On the back of your cheque, please write your own postcode and the sort code and account number you want the cheque to be credited to. We can’t accept cheques for mortgage or loan payments in the post.

If you have a paying-in slip, complete it and send it with the cheque.
If you don’t have a paying-in slip you can still deposit your cheque, please write your postcode, sort code and account number the cheque is to be credited to on the back of the cheque. Without this information we won’t be able to pay in your cheque. Requesting paying-in slips

Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland have withdrawn their cheque deposit service. They are encouraging people to use their app and send them a picture of the cheque or post the cheque directly to them. Its best to speak to the community banker or your bank directly so they can explain how to do it on the app if your having any difficulty.
