The Bank of England have just announced they are increasing the interest rate from 1.75% to 2.25%, this unfortunately means mortgage interest rates will be increasing again and are now at the highest level they have been since 2008.

If you are due to come to the end of your fixed rate within the next 6 months or are on a variable rate and would like to lock your rate in, please contact me now so I can help you to keep your costs down.

The Bank Of England have increased the base rate again.

Unfortunately The Bank Of England have had to do this to try and get inflation under control, this means mortgage interest rates are going to rise again for the 6th time this year.

If you are on a standard variable, tracker or discounted rate mortgage, your rates will unfortunately be going up.

I really do feel for people out there who are in this position and I would love to be able to help you try and keep your costs down.

Increases are not what we want especially as we are already feeling the pinch, given all of the increases elsewhere not limited to the increases in gas, electric, fuel and food.

Anyone who is on a fixed rate and is due to renew their mortgage within the next 6 months, now would be a good time to talk.

A clean credit score will help you get a mortgage

By clean credit score we mean not having any missed repayment, defaults, CCJ’s or bankruptcies on your file.

That said, if your credit score isn’t clean it doesn’t automatically mean you are not able to get a mortgage.

There are lenders out there who will take your personal circumstances into account.
