Following another wonderful and successful return trip to Normandy, we are keen to continue this tradition. These journeys have become so much more than just travel they hold great meaning and importance for our cherished veterans. We hope you may be able to help.
The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans is looking to connect with Second World War veterans across London and the Home Counties who may like to join us on our special trips of remembrance.
Founded in 1948, the Taxi Charity provides free trips for veterans and their carers, both in the UK and Europe , including visits to Normandy for the D-Day commemorations and the Netherlands for Dutch Liberation and Operation Market Garden events.
These journeys offer veterans a unique opportunity to revisit places of great significance, remember fallen comrades, share stories, and enjoy the companionship of others who understand their experiences.
Travel is provided in our iconic London black cabs, with full wheelchair accessibility available.
