Established for 13 years we exist to:
1) Provide the public with signposting information about advice and advocacy services.
2) Support the development of such services in the borough and across South Yorkshire. Over 28,000 people a year use the facilities and services in the RAIN Building. To promote quality advice and information in the region. By providing access to information, training and
support that assists the development of agencies offering advice, information and other support services. Supporting people to access advice, information and related services appropriate to their needs by influencing strategic and policy develoment locally, regionally and nationally. RAIN has four strategic aims:

A Board of Trustees currently directs RAIN. They include; Elected Members, representatives from a variety of Community and Voluntary Sector organisations, Rotherham MBC’s Neighbourhood and Adult Services, also individuals having a personal interest in supporting the growth and development of RAIN. The individuals provide skills and experience to support a wide range of activities including planning and development, research and financial management.
