Well... It's about time I made an announcement and explain why I've been quiet 🤐

After celebrating my 50th birthday and 34 years in the industry last year, I made the decision to retire from financial services!!

I've slowly been offering my existing clients the services of Crosby MortgageAdviser

Caroline and I worked together as financial advisors for Aviva over 20 years ago. She's someone that I trust to carry on going above & beyond for new and existing customers. She's fast, reliable, and like myself has a long standing place within financial services. She comes with wonderful reviews that always speaks volumes when it comes to trusting someone new to look after you, your home and your family x

I am blessed, that after being made redundant, I had customers find me going solo, and trusted me with their friends and family too.

It's been a busy couple of weeks full of completions and my annual compliance audit. Alyx and Ayrton moved to their first home together last week and what a lovely review to leave :)

I feel very humbled with some of the work I do. Recently, I've assisted a couple buying a 2nd home on the coast and another in rearranging their finances so they can enjoy life more. Last week also saw one of my clients purchasing a shared ownership property following a separation,a home she would not have been able to afford without the scheme.

CALLING ALL RENTERS!!

I'm not sure how many times I've heard someone say, "I rent, how can I afford to save a deposit at the same time?" but it's a lot and not surprisingly as rents can be as much as a mortgage in the current climate!

Well, here it is, the Skipton Building Society are looking to help those renting, wanting to buy their first home, without any deposit!

Yesterday saw not just HSBC but also Virgin Money offering deals sub 4%

Although the Bank of England increased rates again to 4% last week, my inbox keeps receiving emails of rate reductions, and there does appear to be as The Telegraph suggests, a price war between lenders.

Now, more than ever is a really good reason to use a recommended mortgage broker because they should look after you and ensure that you are getting the lowest cost deal for your circumstances, and as we know it can take a while to buy a house so a mortgage broker can keep an eye on the rates on your behalf.

It is also the reason why I reached out last week about remortgages if your deal is due to end in the next 6 months.

Wow, February already!

As time goes by so quickly, here's a little reminder to check your mortgage documents to see when your existing deal ends. If you are a client of mine, then I'll be in touch with you in plenty of time to have a conversation and see what we can do going forward.

Rates are likely to be higher than your existing rate, so for no cost, surely it is worth a conversation, take out the leg work of checking what other lenders have on offer. At times, it does work out to be in your favour to stay with your existing lender, BUT what if you missed a better deal elsewhere?

Some lenders have new rates available 6 months before your existing rate is due to end so don't leave it to the last minute to get in touch ☎️ 📧 🤳

ANOTHER HOME MOVER!

Wishing Eliot, Eva and the 2 rebels, a very happy moving day!

Eva and I have had quite a journey over at least the last 6 months BUT the end result was incredible! Securing a 5 year fixed rate at 1.8% for not just their existing mortgage amount, but for the extra they needed too! Outstanding work!!!!
