Hello, Ben here.
I should probably introduce myself before we really get into the nitty gritty of debt recovery...

Jeff has passed on the Abacus baton to me and I'm excited to take on the challenge!

Alongside me will be Maria, who has extensive experience in the collections industry. She has previously worked with some big names and now she's taking on the challenge of Abacus Collection.

Did we mention we're working alongside CTCC Solutions Ltd - Outsourced Credit Control? We can now provide the full range of services from invoice creation all the way to assisting in obtaining a high-court writ.

Together we'll be working with businesses, local and nationwide, in tackling the ever-growing late payment issue.

Abacus Collection Ltd will be turning 13 in the New Year! With over a decade of working with small businesses, I believe it’s time to pass the baton on.

The last few months some exciting things have been happening behind the scenes. Abacus Collection is getting a little revamp… a younger and fresh-faced Ben Trice will be taking over the business and carrying on the torch.

We will also have Maria, hands on with each case, and together they will be continuing the dedicated work that we do here at Abacus. From focusing on customer care, getting your debts paid, and ultimately saving you the time and money to continue what you do best 😊

Abacus Collection will continue to be No Win, No Fee, true to our values and mission of making sure small businesses are paid what they’re owed!

We’ve got some exciting things coming up for Abacus and I’m equally excited for semi-retirement.

Ben will be taking over this account and you'll be able to get more updates with all the amazing things to come.

Big crane for a big job as Freezer Containers removed from Industrial Unit in Penzance, managing for client today. Thanks to Macsalvers for the professional work and to the boys from Dawsons . Sorry for any disruption on The Estate.

Worked with Bailiffs in Penzance this week to take back clients property under The Clause "Re-entry and forfeiture" , bit strange breaking into property had locksmith on site to change locks etc and make secure. Thanks to CBS for there service. Client delighted to have secured property and prevent possible further losses.

Great news for the start of the week , Bailiffs contacted me to say collection complete and job done.

The debt was originally £4500.00 and rose with Court & Collection fees to over £6200.00 my Farmer client delighted to get matter resolved and Abacus chalked up another successful collection.

Great result for client this week. Double glazing client supplied customer who sadly died , took a month or two to get payment from Estate via solicitors client just didn't have time to deal with matter too busy. All sorted and monies in at last !

Client profits from the debt ( at last) and is very happy with my work . The original debt was £1700.00 I offered this debtor a payment plan free from interest and costs. Couldn't come to terms and knew better. Helped my client complete The Court Claim and what a win ....got interest at 8% per day and £40.00 per invoice for Late Payment Compensation which The County Court up held !! Over £2700.00 up ...that's a winner ? And now a payment plan in place....sometimes it just doesn't get any better.

Had this great hamper delivered today from a happy client thanking me for work done in recovering goods from a Pub which went bust in Mid Cornwall.
And for all other suppliers of equipment you need to have retention of tittle in your terms and conditions of trade.
Although this Pub has reopened the new Lease holders did not want to pay for the security cameras and equipment fitted so luckily we were able to recover the goods and reduce this Companies losses.

Its CCJ Friday , at last got the correct paper work from The Court and handed matter to our Solicitors to apply for a charge on his property. What's really annoying about this debtor is that the householder has paid him for all works done in the property conversion but he's not paid our client who did all the electrical work and plumbing. Got him in the end and over £1K added in fees and costs - success !!

Difficult week trying to get debtors to pay my creditor clients. Went to Your Partnership Network Marketing Meeting this morning at The Norway Inn and on my return to the office found several large debtors had actually paid ! Restoring my faith regarding human nature and turning the week around from a hard slog to a huge success. Looking forward to a couple of days off
