It’s been another lovely week here at Ashgrove House 😊

We started the week with our usual Knitting Group on Tuesday, as well as a trip out and some board games later in the day. Wednesday was a fun one too, with whiteboard games in the morning before Sara joined us in the afternoon for some entertainment 🎶

Thursday got everyone moving with Music & Movement, followed by a quiz in the afternoon. Then on Friday we had Coffee, Chat & Nails, another trip out and some relaxing wildlife colouring ☕💅

Today we’ve been busy making bookmarks and having a game of skittles to finish off the week 🎳📚

Plenty going on as always, and lots of smiles along the way! 😊

Another busy week at Ashgrove! ☀️🌸

This week we enjoyed a lovely trip out to Lydiard Park, where residents made the most of the nice weather with a picnic and some time outdoors. 🧺🌳

Back at Ashgrove, we’ve kept busy with arts & crafts, a sensory morning, music & movement, target golf, balloon tennis and skittles. 🎨🎶🎯

We also had a brilliant puppet show with Tony on Wednesday afternoon, which brought plenty of smiles and laughs! 🎭

And of course, we were very happy to welcome Snowball the PAT dog back for another visit on Friday morning. 🐶❤️

Another week at Ashgrove 😊

On Tuesday we headed out for our trip to Town Gardens. It was nice to get out for a walk around and enjoy the gardens, especially with the weather being kind to us 🌳🌸 We also had our usual Knitting Group and a visit from the Mobile Library.

Wednesday was a busy one with Mum & Tots and Coffee & Chat in the morning, followed by Bob coming in to sing for us in the afternoon 🎶

On Thursday we had Music & Movement in the morning and got everyone thinking with a quiz later on.

We didn’t have a trip out on Friday, so instead we had a Beach Day at Ashgrove! We started with a beach themed memory game and later spent some time out in the garden 🏖️

Today we’ve marked VJ Day, had Love to Move and finished the afternoon with a sing along.

Plenty going on again this week and lots more to look forward to next week! 😊

We started the week with hymns and then had Sara in to entertain us on Sunday afternoon. 🎶

There’s been plenty to keep everyone busy throughout the week, including arts & crafts, knitting group, coffee chat & nails, music & movement, board games and a few games of Spin the Wheel!

We also had Nicki in on Wednesday afternoon for some singing, which everyone really enjoyed. 🎤

Our trips this week were to a couple of local garden centres 🌷🌿 It was lovely to get out for a wander and have a look around.

Friday was Beer Day, so of course we had to celebrate! 🍻 We enjoyed a few drinks and a good sing-along, as well as making some cookies earlier in the day. 🍪

We finished off the week with mask making and a game of Category Call Out.

On Tuesday, a group of our residents enjoyed a day out to Weston-super-Mare. The weather was kind to us, and everyone had a great time taking in the sea air, walking along the seafront and, naturally, stopping for an ice cream!

Back at the home, there was plenty going on too. We enjoyed our regular favourites including Knitting Group, Sensory Morning, Music & Movement, Coffee Chat & Nails, arts and crafts, board games, quizzes and a sing-along.

On Wednesday afternoon, we were delighted to welcome back the End of the Track Male Choir. It was a brilliant performance, with lots of singing along, smiles and happy memories shared by everyone.

A big thank you to all our staff and volunteers who help make each week so special. We hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and we’re looking forward to another busy week ahead! 💙

We’ve had another lovely week at Ashgrove House with plenty going on for our residents.

The week has been filled with arts and crafts, knitting, music and movement, coffee mornings, games and lots of laughter together.

On Wednesday, we also held a cream tea gathering where residents had the opportunity to meet the new owners of Ashgrove House. It was a lovely afternoon, giving everyone the chance to chat over tea, scones and cakes in a relaxed setting.

One of the highlights of the week was our trip to Bourton-on-the-Water. The weather was kind to us, everyone enjoyed looking around the village, and to top it all off we were treated to a free ice cream, which certainly went down well! 🍦

Unfortunately, David’s Magic & Singing Show had to cancel at short notice, but a huge thank you to Tony M, who stepped in at the last minute. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, and we’re very grateful he was able to save the day. 🎵

Thank you, as always, to our fantastic staff, volunteers, relatives and friends for your continued support. We hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead! 💚🏡

It’s been another fun-filled week here at Ashgrove House! 💚

We started the week by watching the Wimbledon Men’s Final while enjoying strawberries and Pimm’s. Residents also took part in arts and crafts, our knitting group, balloon tennis, music and movement, Love to Move, coffee chat and nails, and a variety of games including Pass the Mic, Play Your Cards Right, Spin the Wheel and a football-themed game. 🎾⚽

We celebrated Bastille Day with a delicious croissant-tasting session and welcomed the mobile library. Residents also enjoyed two trips out, providing a lovely change of scenery and the opportunity to spend time in the local community.

To finish the week, both residents and staff enjoyed a special visit from the ice cream truck today! Everyone loved choosing a tasty treat—the perfect way to spend a sunny Sunday together! 🍦☀️

Holy Communion and hymns offered quieter moments for reflection, while the week’s activities encouraged movement, creativity, conversation and plenty of laughter. 😊

Another lovely week at Ashgrove House filled with fun, friendship and plenty of smiles. ❤️

Residents enjoyed getting creative during our Arts & Crafts sessions, catching up at Knitting Group, and joining in with Music & Movement, Coffee Chat & Nails, and Board Games. We also celebrated World Chocolate Day with a delicious chocolate tasting session and enjoyed looking back at some old adverts, sparking lots of memories and conversations.

A highlight of the week was welcoming Angelo, who entertained everyone with a fantastic afternoon of music and singing. Residents also had the opportunity to enjoy our Doll Therapy session, which brought comfort, engagement and many heartwarming moments.

We also enjoyed another trip out, giving residents the chance to get out into the community and enjoy a change of scenery, before finishing the week watching the Wimbledon Ladies’ Final with strawberries and Pimms.
