Have a business idea but unsure where to start?

Turning an idea into a business can feel like a big step, but having the right guidance and support can make all the difference.

The Pathways Programme, delivered by South of Scotland Enterprise, is designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs across the South of Scotland explore their ideas, build confidence and take their first steps towards starting a business.

Whether you have a clear business concept or are simply considering the possibilities of self-employment, Pathways offers a supportive environment to explore what could come next.

You don't need a completed business plan or to have everything figured out. Just an idea, some motivation and a willingness to explore its potential.

With information sessions taking place across Dumfries and Galloway, this is a valuable opportunity to learn more about the programme and the support available.

Yesterday, Tracey from CJM Lumina visited The Mill on the Fleet in Gatehouse of Fleet with Pathways Scotland.

As one of the coaches for the Pathways programme, it was lovely to meet some of the cohort participants in person and enjoy a chance to catch up and connect.

A great day at Dumfries House, Valentin’s Farm, delivering a session on Bookkeeping and Making Tax Digital as part of the Heritage Skills Programme.

It was a pleasure to share practical guidance to help participants build confidence in managing their finances, keeping accurate records and understanding the move towards digital tax reporting.

At CJM Lumina, we’re passionate about making the financial side of running a business clear, practical and manageable, giving people the skills and confidence to focus on developing their craft and growing sustainably.

A really enjoyable and engaging session. Thank you to everyone who took part!
