This week’s stop on our office wall tour takes us to Adlington Golf Centre, home to Australian Adventure Golf!!

Just down the road from our Poynton office, Adlington is home to Europe’s largest adventure golf course, featuring 18 holes inspired by some of Australia’s most famous landmarks.

From the Sydney Opera House to Uluru, with caves, waterfalls, bridges and even a few kangaroos along the way, it’s a little taste of Down Under right here in Cheshire!

It’s a fantastic local, family-run business and a great place for a bit of friendly competition with family or friends.

And while we spend our days helping people plan for life’s bigger adventures, sometimes it’s the little ones closer to home that make the best memories.

Another Friday, another little journey around our office mural! 🚶‍♂️

This week we’re taking a look at the Anson Engine Museum, a fascinating piece of local industrial heritage tucked away in Poynton! ⚙️

Poynton has a rich history of coal mining and engineering, and the museum is a brilliant reminder of the people, machinery and innovation that helped shape our local area.

Home to an impressive collection of historic engines, it’s one of those places that’s right on our doorstep but perhaps not as well known as it deserves to be!

We’re lucky to have places like this keeping our industrial heritage alive, thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of the people involved. 👏

✈️ WHAT’S ON THE WALL? | AVRO HERITAGE MUSEUM

Another little piece of local history from our office mural…

This week we’re just down the road at Woodford and the Avro Heritage Museum.

The museum stands on the former Woodford Aerodrome – a site with an incredible aviation history. Aircraft including the Lancaster, Vulcan, Nimrod and BAe 146 were produced at Woodford, with the site playing a major role in British aircraft manufacturing for generations.

Today, the museum keeps that history alive – including its rather difficult-to-miss Avro Vulcan XM603, the only Vulcan preserved in its original all-white anti-flash paint scheme.

And there’s another nice local connection: if you’re visiting by train, Poynton is the nearest station.

It’s one of those places that reminds you just how much history there is right on our doorstep.

💚☕ £522 RAISED — THANK YOU! ☕💚

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported our Macmillan Coffee Morning yesterday — together we raised a fantastic £522 for Macmillan Cancer Support! 🎉

Whether you popped in for a coffee, bought a cake (or several… 👀), took a box home, made a donation, baked something for us or simply helped spread the word — thank you.

It was brilliant to see so many clients, friends, neighbours and people from the local Poynton community coming through the doors throughout the day.

And an especially big thank you to our office manager Katrina Bridgeman for doing most of the baking, planning, setting up and generally keeping the coffee and cake operation under control! 🍰☕

£522 raised for a fantastic cause — and probably enough cake consumed to keep Poynton going for a week. 😂

We’re incredibly grateful for all the support. 💚
