Hi Everyone!

We don't get chance to post much on social media as we are so busy keeping up with the demand for our services. To that end we are eternally grateful.

Some news this week from the inner sanctuary in FY6:

1) Two new staff, Janine and Jake, have fitted in fantastically well and are a great addition to our team. Janine has really bolstered the administrative side of the business, ensuring that the support is there every step of the way. Jake has had an intensive training program into our way of operating and will be an additional Independent Mortgage Adviser which we so desperately need.

2) Two Business Development Managers from two separate high street banks commented that John was the leading broker year to date in terms of business volume in their region. We're not surprised judging by the passion, energy and quality independent advice that he shows, not withstanding the hours that he puts in!

3) An application for a purchase case was done on 3rd July and completion is set for 19th July. The formal mortgage offer was produced whilst the client was in the office. The lender did automatic income verification and an AVM (automated valuation model), in other words no proof of income and no physical valuation. 16 days from application to completion on a purchase.

4) Swap rates are falling which is great news for fixed mortgage rates. We have requested amended mortgage offers for many clients this week due to the rates falling.

5) We've been very busy arranging Limited Company buy to let mortgages too. Portfolio landlords are still buying if the yield is there.

6) There are many self-employed people who may feel they cannot get a mortgage or people with adverse credit. If there is a solution, we're confident we will know how to secure it.

7) Finally the big game this weekend. ...COME ON ENGLAND!!!

Well as one year is drawing to a close, it has been a phenomenal year here again, with business volumes up year on year even though the market nationally was down by over 25%. A massive thank you to all of my team who have been a huge help throughout the year. They work above and beyond and certainly don't clock watch.

Even the last 3 working days have been exceptionally busy with a full diary of clients each day.

A huge thank you for all of the recommendations from you all, including various accountants, solicitors, estate agents and letting agents.

It was pointed out just before Christmas that John was the top broker in the North West in terms of business volume with one of the major high street banks. He will also no doubt be top or very high up the list with the others too.

A couple of relative new firms/brokers have been in touch too throughout the year seeking advice and guidance. That was welcomed. It hasn't been easy at times for these firms when the market quietened as they didn't have the reputation or client bank to call upon. One in particular was unrealistic in the broker fees that they were choosing to charge.

We have a very slick, efficient operation here. Long may it continue.
