Collar or Harness β which is best for your Dog?πΎ
When it comes to walking your dog, thereβs no one-size-fits-all answer! Both collars and harnesses have their benefits, but the right choice depends on your dogβs size, breed, behaviour and individual needs.
π Collar: Simple, lightweight and easy to use. A well-fitted collar can be a good option for dogs who walk calmly and donβt pull.
πβπ¦Ί Harness: Helps distribute pressure across the chest rather than concentrating it around the neck. This can be particularly useful for dogs who pull, are strong on the lead, or may be more vulnerable to neck pressure.
Whatever you choose, fit is KEY. It should be comfortable, secure and allow your dog to move naturally without rubbing or restricting them.
π‘ Top tip: If your dog pulls heavily on walks, a harness may be worth considering β but introducing it gradually and working on loose-lead training is just as important.
