We’re always happy to do a deal where we can, but the gold we have available on our shop floor is wearable, retail gold—not scrap. Wearable gold carries additional value due to its condition, design, craftsmanship and resale potential, and therefore has a retail mark-up.

If we were pricing items purely at scrap value, we would simply send them away for scrap rather than offering them for sale as wearable jewellery.
