Finally entering the 21st Century Mayfair has a change of direction without giving up what I do best (Buy to Let for portfolio landlords) we are now going into the commercial/business funding world. Exciting times aided by a true expert - the bank manager type we were used to. 21st Century Business finance with old fashioned service.

Time to use this more....sorry! back in the room. 3 lenders in 'our' market reduced rates today......things looking more positive. If you see this please say- otherwise I may be talking to myself! I don't do social media for business...but there is always a first time.

I want to start a campaign to have the word 'British' removed from british gas. In my experience their customer service is the very very worst I have come across and their staff hardly speak English*. Max compensation £30 - it cost me several out of hours for my PA on double time as well as my own so I am still several £100s out of pocket. None of this is in the British way of doing things imho...I could go on!

He's ex RAF so does know his Ps from his Ss as many will attest.

Once upon a time there was a lender with an online application system known as the 'one minute mortgage' it was fabulous. Their new offering is ridiculously pedantic for totally unnecessary detail, counter intuitive and probably the most difficult and frustrating I have ever used as Matt Powell would confirm...that's progress!

All 200+ pets moved! The Mayfair Consultancy is now at;- 'You don't really need to come, Invitees Only, Plymouth.' All those I like are welcome but please don't arrive just because you don't have a printer - I do but the guppies have the power sockets.... (the most welcome are tagged at the end). So 4 tanks (2 more arriving tomorrow)= lots of sockets....I need an electrician like I need a tax inspector! Meanwhile I am mourning the apparent death of the first property investor (and XJS owner) I ever met. If it takes shaming you sobeit call me ffs team mate........lol R 12/10

What a week again! Work mad busy & I am actually enjoying most of it- negotiating with directors at lenders, dealing with big ticket complicated lending propositions...my kinda stuff. Some deals frustrating but on the whole FAB.
Getting slowly healthier and looking forward to being a dad again with Kai Powell as at least one of our guppies is pregnant!

I can't believe how user friendly some lender's systems are compared to others - 3 apps today for a lender I've not used in a while...all done from start to finish within an hour. Another nice new enquiry recommended by a lender/client to keep me even busier...I'm knackered!
