Introducing the Β£5,000 deposit mortgage with Halifax which has launched today.

🏑 only one customer on a joint application needs to be a first time buyer.

🏑 £5,000 minimum personal deposit which cannot be gifted.

🏑 Employed and self employed customers eligible.

Great to see Halifax have joined Accord mortgages and Newcastle building society by offering this product to help more first time buyers onto the property ladder.

Interest rates will always be higher on these products.

I submitted a home mover application this morning for very loyal clients of mine which made me look back at our working relationship.

🏑2016 I arranged their mortgage as first time buyers.

🏑2019 I secured a lower rate for them, saving them money each month.

🏑2021 I arrange a home mover application where we ported their existing mortgage to avoid paying an early repayment charge.

🏑2024 involved securing another rate whilst factoring in two parts to their mortgage.

🏑2026 another home mover application which will now factor in 3 mortgage parts on different rates and end dates which we will look to bring together in the future.

As clients, you are not a one off transaction to me. I will look after your mortgage throughout the term to help you make the right choices and pay less in the long run.

⬇️⬇️ Mortgage rates are decreasing ⬇️⬇️

🏑 After a tough month of rapid rate increases, lenders are starting to decrease their rates with more lenders following suit tomorrow.

🏑 These cuts are mainly beneficial to first time buyers and home movers which will help to kick start the purchase market.

🏑 Not much movement on remortgages or product transfers but hopefully this will follow suit, soon.

🏑 Please do get in touch if you would like my advice on all of the above.

Interest rates have jumped up significantly in the past week with further increases from lenders expected this week.

I would normally contact my existing clients 3 to 4 months before their current deal comes to an end but think it would be sensible to extend that to 4 to 6 months to secure something before rates increase further.

I have lots of clients to contact but feel free to get in touch with me ASAP if your deal is ending this year.

⬇️ Interest rates continue to decrease this week with the lowest being a home mover rate of 3.55%.

Please note this is at 60% loan to value.

Remortgage and first time buyer rates are also decreasing. Let's hope this trend continues.

Interest rates are subject to affordability, credit score and full underwriting.
