For millions of Kenyan families, cooking means charcoal smoke, hours of fuel collection, and costs that eat into every budget.

Ecosafi, the Better Cooking Company's clean biomass stoves flip that script, producing zero smoke, being 40–70% cheaper than charcoal, and saving families 61 hours of cooking time every year. They make life easier, help create cleaner air and slow deforestation.

We’re proud to offer investors the chance to support Ecosafi, with a bond offer targeting 8% per annum over 24 months, helping bring 4,932 stoves to Kenyan households.

Great news for around 1,500 people in Dungu, DRC, who will benefit from clean energy access thanks to the MyJouleBox expansion of the green minigrid there, partly funded by Energise Africa investors.

We successfully closed the first MJB bond offer last week, thanks to 259 UK investors and match funding from CEI Africa. The grid expansion will connect 300 more homes and businesses to solar energy and provide power to 680 streetlights to improve community safety, reduce crime, and enable a thriving night-time economy.

Thanks to all our investors, we look forward to bringing you updates on the project.

A new bond offer from MyJouleBox will extend 24/7 clean power to Dungu, DRC, supporting over 300 homes and businesses through expanded solar generation, battery storage and distribution.

This means:

680 streetlights improving safety after dark
Better study conditions and extended learning time for students
Stronger local businesses, powered by equipment like water pumps, cold storage and electric vehicles

The project will generate an additional 684 MWh of solar energy each year, avoiding around 547 tonnes of CO₂ annually, and over 10,900 tonnes across its lifetime.

Global energy disruption is reshaping where the world looks for sustainable solutions.

As the Middle East conflict continues to send ripples through global oil markets, BBC World Service's Business Report explored how this is accelerating the drive towards solar energy across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Energise Africa CEO Ray Coyle featured in the programme, discussing how geopolitical instability is reinforcing the case for homegrown, renewable energy solutions on the continent and why the momentum behind sustainable African electrification is growing.
