Busy times at Small Steps these last couple of weeks. We’ve had lots of referrals recently to help children from four to fourteen feel comfortable and confident at school. We have also helped struggling families with those little extras to make life just a little easier.
Just found time to pack away our winter stock and we’re now sunshine ready with summer uniforms ☀️☀️

Every Small Steps bundle includes more than just uniform.

We always try to add the extras too — underwear, toiletries, sometimes even nightwear — because those everyday basics can make a real difference.

They’re the bits people don’t always see, but they help children feel comfortable, confident and ready for the school day.

🐣🌷 Happy Easter from all of us at Small Steps 🌷🐣

Wishing all of our wonderful families, supporters and volunteers a joyful Easter break.

After what feels like endless grey skies and rain, it’s so lovely to finally welcome a little spring sunshine, lighter evenings and the promise of brighter days ahead. 🌼☀️

We hope the holidays bring some time to rest, make memories, enjoy a few chocolate eggs, and spend precious moments with the people who matter most.

Thank you for continuing to support Small Steps and the families in our community — your kindness helps bring light and hope in so many ways.

• Wakefield to invest £2 million for new school uniform support fund for all school-aged children in the Wakefield District
• Around 50,000 children will benefit, with primary school children receiving £30, and secondary £50
• This investment is about giving every family a little extra help to make sure every child and young person is ready to learn
