🎉 The Wait Is Over… We Open Tomorrow! 🎉

Tomorrow at 10.00am, the doors to the Omagh Uniform Exchange open once again and we can’t wait to welcome you all.

A few quick reminders before you arrive:

💜 Everyone is welcome. This service is for every family, every school and every child across our area. There is no charge, no eligibility criteria and no judgement. Just a warm welcome.

💜 Please be patient and respectful with our volunteers and with each other. The Uniform Exchange is run entirely by volunteers who have worked incredibly hard to get everything ready.

🚗 Parking: Please park across the road from St Joseph’s Hall or behind the hall in the parish car park.

⚠️ For tomorrow only, please do not use the St Joseph’s Hall car park, as we are expecting it to be very busy and need to keep access clear.

📍 We are downstairs in St Joseph’s Hall. Walk down the hill and you’ll find the entrance on your left near the bottom of the hill.

Whether you need one item or a full uniform, please come along. That’s exactly why we’re here.

See you from 10.00am tomorrow! 💜💛

💛💜 The Pencil Case Pack Project is back for 2026! 💜💛

Pull up a chair and pour a brew….its story time!!

One of the principles that has guided me throughout my career in education is this:

If we want children to succeed, we must first remove the barriers that stand in their way.

Educational research consistently shows that pupils are more likely to engage, participate and achieve when they have access to the same basic resources as their peers. Something as simple as not having a pen or a ruler can affect confidence, create unnecessary stress and become a barrier to learning before the lesson has even begun.

Sometimes we can’t change the big things.

But we can change the little things that make a big difference.

That’s why the Pencil Case Pack Project is so important to us.

A pencil case won’t solve educational inequality. It won’t fix every challenge facing our schools. But it will mean one less child has to ask to borrow a pen. One less child feels embarrassed because they don’t have the right equipment. One more child walks into school feeling prepared, confident and ready to learn.

For the first few years, we funded these packs ourselves. We knew they mattered, but every year it was a struggle to find the money to keep the project going.

Then, in 2025, our knights in shining armour arrived.

Terex Omagh and Omagh Credit Union believed in our vision. Their support didn’t just sustain the project, it allowed us to expand our reach and help even more children across Omagh and the surrounding areas.

And the best part…

Our knights are back for 2026! 💛

Once again, Terex Omagh and Omagh Credit Union are sponsoring our Pencil Case Packs. Not only are they funding the contents, their staff are also giving their volunteering time to pick, pack and deliver every single one to Omagh Uniform Exchange.

That’s a community investing in its young people.

Our ambition is simple:

Every child who needs a stationery pack should receive one.

To everyone at Terex Omagh and Omagh Credit Union, thank you. Your generosity, commitment and belief in this project will make a real difference to hundreds of children as they start a new school year.

Registration details for Pencil Case Packs will be shared very soon.

Until then, I’m just trying to keep my excitement under control… and convince my singing heart not to awaken the bubbling Tina Turner inside me. Because while my heart can sing all it likes… absolutely nobody needs to hear the rest of me joining in! 🎤😂💛
