We have celebrated 25 years of West Tyrone Credit Union in 2023 - a massive thank you to all our customers and volunteers over this period.

During this period, we have had many members through our doors and it has been great to see you each Friday night.

After 25 years, we have been carrying out a detailed check on all our customer database to ensure details are correct. In order to do this fully, we need your help so please spread the word.

- Have your circumstances/situation changed in general?

The Bank of England continues to raise interest rates, this month is the 14th consecutive rise since 2021. These rises are being reflected in increased interest rates in bank loans and credit cards. Credit card interest rates have increased from around 19% APR to 29% APR, making repayments more costly. Credit Unions have a lower interest rate of 12.68% and interest is only charged on out-standing balance. This rate doesn't rise and is more cost effective for borrowers. Talk to us about an affordable loan. Call in to the office we are open on Friday evenings 8-9pm.
