We’re helping The Insurance Charity promote the great work it does to support insurance professionals and their families in need.

By doing so, we’re also celebrating the thousands of organisations and many more people who donate to the charity.

In 2025/2026 it awarded almost £700k to those needing support in the UK and Ireland.

The charity offers one-off and regular financial support (including charitable loans) and practical guidance.

Employers who want to help don’t need to pay or sign up to become a supporter.

Nor are they involved in beneficiary applications. The charity acts as a trusted partner that complements the support employers already provide.

People don’t need to be in crisis to reach out for help, either.

FIFA got it all wrong. World Cup players don’t need hydration breaks. But you can’t say no to an ice cream.

Catalyst colleagues had the chance to cool down as we booked an ice cream van to visit our offices this afternoon.

It’s a thank you for their continued great work supporting our insurance clients and claims customers as temperatures soar.

It’s coming home. Well, it’s coming to the office.

Here at Catalyst, we always try to stay cool when faced with a challenge. That includes working on the hottest day of the year.

We always make sure we stay hydrated. So we’ve arranged for colleagues to enjoy an ice-cream break later, instead.

Sprinkles anyone?

for include:

🏡 Property adaptations and repairs
🍲 Day-to-day essential costs such as rent/mortgage payments, food and energy
👍 Counselling, specialist assessments and therapies
👨‍🦽 Disability aids
🗑️ Furniture and household appliances
🫂 Funeral expenses

During the year, 149 individuals or families received support, and enquires for help increased 20%.

We’re reflecting on the Subsidence Forum Training Day held yesterday (Wed 17 Jun).

It was another great day of learning at a time when understanding and responding effectively to subsidence is more important than ever.

Five technical demonstrations covering the subsidence claims journey:
🏡 First notification of loss
🌳 Tree reports
🔍 Site investigations
📏 Monitoring
🧱 Repair works

All cleverly billed as station stops on a rail journey. And more exhibitors than ever before, one of them being Catalyst.

Paul Duddle, the Subsidence Forum Chairman, did a great job of leading the event. Then again, he would, because he’s Catalyst’s operations director.

Our MD, Brad Jackson, also attended. He says: “The opportunities to learn from the event was impressive. In effect, the whole subsidence claims journey was laid out for us.

“This is important, because subsidence response is a joined up process. It’s vital to understand the linkages to give claims customers the best possible service.”

We’re sure ideas shared during the day will inform Catalyst’s services and our own internal training over the coming months.
